Does it make sense for couples to celebrate virginity openly if one or both marry as virgin? Example: If a woman marries as virgin, is it good for her hubby to publicly celebrate her as virgin bride? Or if a man marries as virgin, should his wife celebrate him publicly? Or if both marry as virgins, should they celebrate does it make sense celebrating it publicly? Please your contributions. |

Celebrating the virginity of a bride is like celebrating the ability of a fish to SWIM. It's MADNESS! Virginity is the BAREST minimum a woman can bring into marriage. Whether it should be celebrated publicly is left for the couples. What should be mandatory is that dowry should only be paid on virgins. I just don't understand the concept behind paying dowries to a woman who's not a virgin. This is something that we should look into as a people. |

Yes it should and if only you can remember in the ancient days when traditions was still traditional, that's the only bride of a woman to know she's from a well and mannered families, but nowadays it's no more and again if u watch closely to south Africa why is it that an award is even given to them to show their achievements, so l think it should be celebrated to encourage those that might be tempted to break their virginity |
