Extract from Osimhen's OBI ONE Podcast interview about Eric Chelle and the Super Eagles

Osimhen revealed his conversation with the Super Eagles coach on the Obi One Podcast.

“We spoke, he called me along with his assistant,” Osimhen began.

“Form the last AFCON with Mali, he’s a coach who loves to play, he really loves to fight.

“This is a snippet to my teammates in the national team, according to what he told me, he’s going to be very, very demanding

“He said ‘I want to guys to come hand-in-hand with me to achieve amazing things for Nigeria.

“’You guys have the quality to achieve this, but the one who doesn’t fight for every ball, the one who doesn’t run for every ball, will not play’.

“He was really clear with me.”

Osimhen continued: “He said he can be a father, an uncle, a big brother to everyone, but on the pitch this is business.

“’I might scream at you guys, don’t take it badly.

“’You Victor, Ekong and the rest come hand-in-hand with me, if the players see you guys running so crazy, they will do it also. It starts from you guys.

“I totally agree with him.”

Beautiful! Everyone enter the link and watch this wholesome interview...

Legend to Rising Legend. Superstar to SuperStar... Odogwu to the Monster Machine.

Osimhen being interviewed by the man who was captain when Osimhen joined the NT is so so beautiful.

zoboizee:
This team list is good but not balanced except we want to console our mind with deceit. In defence, the team is very light with respect to defensive substitution. Personally, except there is an injury concern, Onyeka deserved to be chosen ahead of Yusuf. And Uche be chosen instead of Aribo. Aribo and Papa Daniel are mobile left footed midfielders who played with similar style. But Daniel's physical balance edges Aribo. So, either of the two should have been chosen and most likely Daniel. We have seen Aribo in Eagles and know his stuff. But Daniel could be a new vibe with more hunger and passion. In attack, amongst Sadiq, Boniface, Tolu & Tella. i will simply pick Sadiq who is the most capped amongst them but always falter to impress consistently. Boniface will not get the space & time, Tolu's style is too relaxed for the SE, Tella lacks the 1vs1 skills on the wings expected of a SE winger.
All spot on bro. At this point I don't even know what to expect again.

According to Osimhen, we should get ready for VDB ball AKA.... "VERY DEMANDING BALL" courtesy of Eric Chelle.

The line that gets me most is this:

"....the one who doesn’t fight for every ball, the one who doesn’t run for every ball, will not play’."

I would absolutely love to see Eric Chelle stand by this no matter what.

This is Madly Serious Business.

Ezenwa no be third keeper for Enyimba but getting invitations under Rohr....no be today our invitation dey look somehow.I remember how far better Emma Babayaro sat out to very average Okheneboh during Japan 93,the same Emma Babayaro was pushed to the bench again during Atlanta 96 using Togo match as an excuse and funny he wasn't at fault in any of the goals conceded, agent thing brought Dosu Joseph in,well Japan and Atlanta results did not gave anyone chance to raise eyebrows.

Serious,Bankole is Remo second choice?I thought he is number one

CC:BascoVanVeli
But wait oh. Did even loose any match with Ezenwa in goal. I don't think. Even as Enyimba no 2. The guy get big heart for big games. Has more confidence than Akpeyi even

Better than Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, Leon Balogun, Kevin Akpoguma in my books.

The only central defenders I rate better or at par with him are Troost-Ekong, Igoh Ogbu and Olisa Ndah.

I don't know what to make of this, he has been away for 5weeks on trial with the B team of some obscure club in an obscure country. How is this guy situation better than Nwakali we all don't want to see close to the SE

I agree wholeheartedly.

Aribo's passing game is shyte and he easily gets muscled off the ball. Also not one known for creativity or dribbling.

In addition, he doesn't have the lungs, legs, stamina and durability of Onyeka to press and harry players.

Onyeka's absence still be like dream to me.

And so many are OK with it, when he gets a club there, they will dumb him and look for another npfl player to market.
