Like as if, there is a high patronage or plenty customers coming

Most Phone repairers learn on the Job...no in-depth technical knowledge.

So when them hang like this, they'll disappear to go check for parts...and/or to go make research.

Funny enough it has happened to me, this is when I was still in Abuja.

My phone power button developed an issue, I took it to Heart Plaza, Mararaba an outskirt of Abuja to repair. I met this ebullient chap after he convinced me that he will fix it that's it's a small issue, I gave him my phone and he took me to his desk where he dismembered my phone to start repair.

At a point, he told me that he is going to get something to use in fixing my phone and left with my dismembered phone still on the desk with prying eyes all around. I got distracted by a new phone being displayed on a glass at the other side because I was already nursing an idea to get a new phone


Lol and behold, I turned my face to the table and could not see my phone again , it felt like magic to me... 😅 So many Nairaland stories on how they've been swindled at Computer Village Lagos lunged at me.

I was confused but kept calm and was just watching the surroundings to my greater shock and surprise the guy came back and noticed my demeanor and told me to always be vigilant whenever I'm in a place like this, he pulled open his desk drawer and lo and behold, my phone was in there.

I was surprised, how he did it in that split seconds, whether it was him that turned around and took the phone or he collected it from someone else that took it or he signaled to someone to help keep the phone in a secured place in those split seconds still marveled me.

He later did that work, even at cheaper rate, unfortunately, I don't even have the guys contact.

People do things for different reasons.

I do electrical work as one of my side hustles, one thing I have noticed about some customers is that they're so annoying. Once they call you to rectify a fault and you do it quickly they just assume you ain't suppose to get paid. Electricians and other workmen switch to delay tactics depending on the customer to get their money in full.


I went to a woman's house sometime ago to check her new ceiling fan, she told me the fan stopped working a week after an electrician installed it and she angrily abandoned it for over 3months thinking she bought a fake fan. ( Chai women!) .....While checking I noticed one of the wires was outta the terminal and I fixed it back and tightened others that ain't tight enough.

What I did wasn't up to 3minutes and the woman was very happy when the fan started working. She gave me 3k without even bothering about the short time I did the work.....I asked her to keep her money, she impressed me. Secondly she's an elderly woman, I have soft spot for mother figures.

Yes as someone up there says CONSULTATiON, you can't do it all alone.

Even doctors consult their hight ranking doctors if a patient illness looks persistent.☹️

Lies , someone wanted to change s20 screen, he was charged like 200k, no crack on the screen

My colleague Un clipped it and clip it back , it worked


Do you expect him to tell the guy that it’s has worked just under 10 minutes of work


It will bring issues
So you have to give him 24 hours or more to delay time

those people ? You'll give them phone to repair,as soon as another customer brought their own device, they'll abandon urs and concentrate on the new customer job
