YellowbaMoslem:Okay. Is that your state of origin? Home region? |

SeeWahala:I am jobless and productive you is aware of it for a while. If you continue like this, don't expect any financial miracle. You are trolling someone trading with $1. If you get 1kobo would you be wasting your life trolling others? |

SeeWahala:The criticism by "most" (Not all) of the critics is mischievous because what is supposed to be borned out of genuine concern and demand for change has been turned to a "Gloat" Party. And frankly I'm not surprised because the intention right from onset is to MOCK and DEMARKET it |
| Re: The Agenda Behind "Lagos Is Smelling" by YellowbaMoslem: 8:44am On Mar 17, 2025 |
helinues:At least you have known that there is a state in Nigeria that doesn't smell like Lagos. |
| Re: The Agenda Behind "Lagos Is Smelling" by helinues: 8:46am On Mar 17, 2025 |
YellowbaMoslem:I knew that before but my expectations was for you to mention your home state or any state from your home region. If your home state or home region is not in the category of states smelling good, what moral justification do you have to be shading Lagos state? |
| Re: The Agenda Behind "Lagos Is Smelling" by SeeWahala: 8:47am On Mar 17, 2025 |
karlriz:Don't you understand that place has been smelling for DECADES if after 20 years of enduring the smells you and your leaders haven't thought up a solution to that peculiar problem don't you feel it is time to ramp up the push by MOCKING and GLOATING at the leadership of those smelling places? I mean . . . This is over 20 years plus of those smells now man. What's your problem |
| Re: The Agenda Behind "Lagos Is Smelling" by karlriz(op): 8:54am On Mar 17, 2025 |
nairalanda1:You seem reasonable, particularly your last sentence. Calling out the government to fix the smelling part of Lagos is different from gloating over it. My write up is to address those with dark intention that is stimulated not by Love or Progress for Lagos but by Foolishness and hatred for Lagos. Yes some part of it does smell but the campaign is largely getting pushed by those who wants to DEMARKET it. |
| Re: The Agenda Behind "Lagos Is Smelling" by nairalanda1(m): 8:57am On Mar 17, 2025 |
karlriz:Well the fact remains that nothing much has been done to.change it by the same.goverment making it easier to demarket the place. Admittedly it would cost a lot of money to do something like sewages and large public parks and rehousing, but something needs to be done. |

Another weak attempt to defend failure. Why do you, Nigerians, hate the truth so much? Why is everything demarketing to you? People are saying worse things about the U.S. government on their platforms, same as any other country, including your favourite japa countries in the world. So, why must everyone be silent because the chief c l o w n from your tribe rigged his way into power? |

Nomercie:My father was a poor farmer in the South Eastern hinterlands ![]() I jumped on night bus with black nylon bag of garri to come to Lagos 15 years ago, I am the one who purchased the land from one owambé loving af0nj granpa 7 years ago and developed it to world standards Why envying and hating my success journey? |
| Re: The Agenda Behind "Lagos Is Smelling" by karlriz(op): 9:07am On Mar 17, 2025 |
SeeWahala:I don't have a problem, you're the one with the problem for failing to realise demarketing Lagos or speaking ill of it on Global Social Media Spaces is very dangerous to it's potentials. Most cities in the world have some part of it that smells, their citizens don't come on social media gloating and mocking it. They will rather engage the government in a civil manner calling its attention to fix it instead of turning it into Gloating Party on Global social media spaces. |

karlriz:Says a man from Alimosho Local Government Area who can’t read French, let alone know what the French people are saying about France on X or TikTok. |
| Re: The Agenda Behind "Lagos Is Smelling" by karlriz(op): 9:10am On Mar 17, 2025 |
nairalanda1:Definitely, you're right, something needs to be done. I only feel disgusted by ways most of the campaigners are going about it. |
| Re: The Agenda Behind "Lagos Is Smelling" by SeeWahala: 9:11am On Mar 17, 2025 |
karlriz:Oga, the NYSC member didn't gloat or mock but yet see what your same government are doing against her for only speaking out about it ![]() Are you not following the news or you're Soo biased you only see things from the Agbad0 🌽 corner of your eyes |
| Re: The Agenda Behind "Lagos Is Smelling" by karlriz(op): 9:14am On Mar 17, 2025 |
Acidosis:I think at this point you need to be quiet. This is not borne out of Pride but out of the fact that you're completely oblivious of who you're talking to. |
| Re: The Agenda Behind "Lagos Is Smelling" by pneumaticos(m): 9:15am On Mar 17, 2025 |
karlriz:If you haven't been to other part of Nigeria You will think all that you have is the smelly Lagos Lagos is a mistake at it current state |
| Re: The Agenda Behind "Lagos Is Smelling" by karlriz(op): 9:25am On Mar 17, 2025 |
SeeWahala:Frankly I don't really have any problem with the girl. Most of her points are right. I once served too and I can confidently tell you the allowance accorded to corpers cannot sufficiently cater for the needs even though the economy wasn't this bad when I served several years ago...The situation is even worst now because given by the current allowance (33,000) and situation of the economy, 33k is NOT sufficient, however, what I have problem with is how those with hatred for Lagos seized the campaign and turned it into Gloating and demarketing Party. |

Sometimes the way we choose to go about things baffle me. I don't know if the Lagos smells or not, but I've seen several people complain about it. The response is always, "they are trying to destroy the image of Lagos", "they are haters", "they are wailers etc", but no talk of, is this thing true? If it is true, how can we go about the resolution. It is always counter arguments, while the supposed actual issue takes a backseat. If Lagos is smelling, and the constituted authority decides to tackle it, I don't think anyone who is normal would still be coming up with the narrative that Lagos is smelly. If you render a service to the public and you have some of your customers giving you a certain feedback, I don't think the best approach is going back and forth on the matter. Just fix it if the problem exists, and we would move on from there. |

| Re: The Agenda Behind "Lagos Is Smelling" by SeeWahala: 9:31am On Mar 17, 2025 |
karlriz:So in your own opinion, because of those who have turned it into a demarketing strategy, you'd rather the government sit still and did nothing just to spite those who you claim hate Lagos? ![]() |
