Na lie! It is only difficult in Nigeria because people are not particularly interested in accuracy. There are sickle-cellers abroad as well, mostly African Americans of West African descent, and for as long as I have known, I have never read of labs getting their tests wrong in the way Nigerians labs are used to doing, nor have I read of any one of them magically having their genotypes mutating from one type to another.
