When we were kids we use to make kites and it will fly so high into the sky.
You see different kites from different kids up up in the sky.
What now happened.
Why are the present day kids no longer flying kites
It looks like kids pads and computer games have taken over the good old days.

Because Nigeria has dropped in happy country ranking from 80 in 2013 - 2014 to 105 in 2025

Children are not longer playing
Adults are no longer playing

We had cartoons like voltron,spiderman incredible hulk and Tarzan then too.

Tv shows used to air on schedule. So you couldn't watch it whenever you wanted. Today you can watch whatever you want whenever you want.

It's not ideal to be watching TV all day .
Kids should go outside and play,run around, fall,stand up .That's the fun of being kids.

. Boss it's very obvious you're not of the streets...cuz right there on the streets where we grew up,we made our own kites with newspapers and eba, paper bags and cellophanes plus normal outside broom and thread.........Na ghetto street we take grow up and I did these things very well.....

Don’t mind him even with the old cartoons of then just like the few you mentioned is more interesting and we still fly kite compared to this present day cartoons like baby shark doodoo

How is flying kite cost? You practically need nothing to buy before you can fly a kite. From your. Newspaper/cellophane, broom and maybe just the threads which won’t cost you much

I no see play wey me, my brother and street niggaz no play growing up! We flew kites, played rubber ring, played cashew, played football, police and thief, "Open Kolo", table tenis, local draft, rode boris, sand fights, tyre race, played Whot, played Ludo in groups, river swimming race, animal hunting, bird hunting with homemade catapaults, e.t.c.

We did all of the above, and even much more, but yet, we were still nailing our academics in our various schools 🤗.

I don't regret my childhood at all, the fun was at its maximum!!💯😃

One of the main truths is that there was no terrorist groups like IPOB and Bokoharam that instill fears in parents that lead to individual parent restricting movement of their children then. kids have to run Ecta sceta to enjoying flying kites which always take them away from their parent sights. But ipob killing 21 virgin girls for power to fight military that imprison their leader Kanu and more thirst for oke-ite money ritual sounded warning to parents that started restricting their children movement and offer them computer games and other indoor activities to limit their movement. Ipob and Bokoharam don't have pity, they can kill the pregnant woman and even use her foetus to do ritual on Biafra scam to deceive their gullible members

Instead of complaining, teach some kids how to make a kite and how to do kite tricks.
