Today Sunday 23rd of March Lagos to London flight was announced cancelled just three hours to departure time and fuming passengers were offered alternate flight 24 hours later as the solution to the cancellation if thier flight.

The air line representatives that came to anounce the cancellation were appalling and totally unprofessional.

Rather than making attempt to offer alternate immediate solution to the problem, their best offer was a promise of an alternate aircraft 24 hours later.

Several passengers who were irate made their concern known as some has either deadlines to meet, work or critical meeting to attend at their destination London on Monday morning.

The scene at the departure lounge was alarming as two elderly ladies who were on wheelchair was among the stranded passengers and no attemot was made by the airline representative to prioritise attending to this elderly wheelchair bound ladies.

Attention of airpeace representative who came to announce the cancellation was drawn to the two wheelchair bound ladies to been seen to and priotise but they could be bothered rather they were more concerned about trying to disperse everyone to go and spend a night at some hotel and will be contated by email later.

Majority of the passengers who appered to be UK residents made it known that they only bought the airlines ticket which they dont normally do in order to patronise Nigerian brand airline which turn out to be a total let down.

The prayer they say is " pray dont let Nigeria happen
to you" infact Nigeria happen to one elderly European lady who for some reason bought nigeria airline ticket which in turns stung her as her visa in Nigeria will end midnight tonight she said and she will be illegal due to no fault of her own.

Its a shame airpeace today lost not one customer today but potential over 200 customers due to the firms total unprofessionalism and lack of empathy to thier customers concerns of losses whuch some say they will incure and majority who are also concerned for failed deadlines due to the consequence of the airlines failure.

What a shame and truly a big SHAME to airpeace airline.

You made it look like, late cancellation of flight is not a global aviation problem!
There must be a reason for the cancellation and offering you an alternate flight is what they ought to do and did.

How were they unprofessional? ...because the flight was cancelled? ... didn't they say why? ...or you were busy making noise ? ...were they unprofessional because they didn't have an immediate alternative flight? Anyone travelling to or from London over the weekend should've been aware of the situation there and expected delayed or cancelled flights. I guess you and other noise makers were not aware.

Unplanned flight cancellation is an aviation challenge and most times it is for the best interest of the passengers.

Sometimes I wonder if Nigerians are cursed. Every little thing we badmouth our country, make posts and videos to damage the reputation of this country.

Lufthansa lost my baggage in transit for over 1 month and heaven did not fall. When they brought back my bags, I was already in Nigeria. I had to buy new clothes at Market Street, Manchester. I repeat and dryclean just to get going.

I have arrived in Frankfurt twice and there is a strike and aircrafts are grounded. Did we sue Lufthansa or petition the Government of Germany?

Enough of your terrible attitudes and show of unpatriotism!

But to take care of your Mother, Father, Brother or Sister who is sick in Nigeria is like a punishment to you.

The moment you arrive Heathrow Airport, you see our people littered everywhere doing jobs that they will NEVER DO IN NIGERIA.

To be fair to the poster, Air Peace is notorious for serial cancellations and general incompetence considering it is the country's premier air carrier. The fire incident at Heathrow surely affected its operations, but cancellation issues with the airline no be today. E don tey.

Interesting post you have here. So, why can't these people return to Nigeria with the savings they have had? Say sell their mortgaged property and move to say Ekiti or Ebonyi to live a much more dignified life? And how come most have their children into theft and homo activities rather than at Imperial College or AstraZeneca? Let's not forget that there are many Black Brits of Nigerian ancestry scattered across top firms and industries in the UK. For instance, the Economist West Africa's correspondent, a Brit of Nigerian ancestry, studied at Cambridge.

AirPeace is a shame and disgrace with poor customer service. I have been flying with them for years with the hope that their service will get better. I have flew with them to The Gambia and South Africa, and domestically shuttle between Lagos-Abuja-Asaba, all of these since 2017.
They have never have on-time departure whether domestically or internationally.

I have recently (January 2025) ported to ArikAir for my domestic flights, where AriAir flies to. For my out of Nigeria business, I use other international airline though it will take me longer but at least I know when I will depart and I know when I will return. AirPeace has become Kabu kabu in Nigeria. Very sad because I love patronizing our own and encourage home grown businesses but when it’s affecting my own business and family time, I have to cut my losses short.

Airlines cancel or delay flights all over the world.

Countries have check and balance aviation laws to ensure that Airlines well-compensate and treat their passengers with dignity, empathy and respect when the reason is beyond Airlines control. When the reasons is based on Airlines fault or reasons within their control, the laws ensure that they compensate the passengers, book hotels for them and arrange transportation as case may be.

The problems in Nigeria is that these laws are not existing or not enforced on the Nigerian Airlines.

This is why Nigerian Airlines are notorious for many cancelations and delays with no major consequences.

Air Peace will have to operate with foreign standards within Nigeria if they want to compete with other foreign Airlines operating same routes as them. Otherwise, they will lose customers.

I believe in patronizing Made in Nigeria services but I also want quality services for my money.

If not for sentiment and the stupid tribalism that would follow, Airpeace should not be allowed on that London route.

Do you know that the plane they are using was actually manufactured in the 1900s, that is why it is outdated and the inflight entertainment is not working?
