I don’t believe those guys were hunters. The incident was unfortunate but it was dastard behaviour travelling in a vehicle with weapons like the deceased.
People like the above were intercepted in Enugu state many years ago during Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s administration. They were travelling in a Zamfara state government vehicle. It was police that stopped them and it was a front page news here in nairaland. Those guys claimed that they were hunters.
It wasn’t long after that, there was massacre in an Enugu state town…with Ugwuanyi asking people to pray to God for protection.

As sad as the Uromi incident was, those people were not hunters, if they were, they were more than bush meats hunters.

There have been numerous incidents of Fulani bandits shooting in the dead of the night or very early in the morning, villagers would get confused, run out and get hacked down with axes and machetes.

First class citizens has been touched the governor came out swiftly but ever since second class citizens have been reporting and complaining of herders attacking them in their farms in various locations the governor didn't even make a speech not to talk of coming down there.
