I see many people commenting how N1m can't start any business due to the economy hardship. Yes, you may be right but maybe the OP didn't make himself clearly or you guys didn't understand him.

The fact is a low-life lady who hasn't seen N1m in her life complaining that N1m is small is definitely a red flag, I mean there are ways you can improvise. I've seen many ladies sell from their home like bags, cloths etc. you can even rent a shed (must you start with a shop?)

Anyway low-life ladies are the most pompous and unappreciative set of people on earth

My experience is a bit different.

She has money in millions but will never touch it. Will not invest, will not spend, just like to have it accumulating monthly interest. No wahala with that.

But help with home keeping na lie. She will never touch her money to help with anything in the house.

This is putting me in serious debt. If we needed money urgently she can withdraw and LOAN to me. Even if I say it’s her contribution, then all hell will be let loose. She will nag until I repay the LOAN. I’m really tired.

She's right, the money is enough to start a business without renting a shop. I don't know about other states but in Lagos, neighbourhood shops now go between 8-10k per month. Shops in busy areas, bus-stops and market places go for much higher and most landlords ask for 2 years rent upfront. The spending won't be on rent alone, she'll need to furnish the shop with chair, table, counters, shelves etc and make it look attractive to customers. She's only telling you the reality of things but you're here poverty shaming her. You strike me as the toxic abusive husband who will treat your wife like you're doing her a favour by marrying her. How I wish she can open her eyes and see how better she'll be far away from you.

It's not hard to spot a lady who will ruin U even if U give her 20M to start business she will still come up with excuses because the brain can't function. They're already on this thread if U look up there and some stupid guys are saying she's right. If U should do a background check on those goats non of them have made a million naira at once and they are here yapping shut. Business is not always about how much U start it with but rather how strategic are U in giving value. They want a furnished shop in an expensive complex in the heart of the city but guess what? Such people will still run it down because they can't appreciate the value of a Naira. Na why life hard some people till they learn the simple things and appreciate the value and power of startup before bossing up. They want to be bosses on credit.
