Teniremi:British airways and Virgin Atlantic - Both are direct flight from Lagos to London, no layover. You can try Air Peace too. Direct flights are better for elderly people. |

Michellasilva:It simply means they need more time to decide compared to what is their published processing time. It’s a courtesy message saying we have not forgotten you, it’s just taking longer than usual. |

Hi congratulations, how do you explain their income and expenses as business owners please |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by cfcchick: 7:10pm On Apr 04, 2025 |
Goodevening everyone, please is it ok to use 3 months bank statement for a visit visa applcation? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by LopzyYetty: 8:46pm On Apr 04, 2025 |
IyaMo25:Well, I have never explained income. When I checked the requirement, it says prove that they have sufficient money and no duration was stated, so I decided to stick to 1 month statement. Most of the inflow and outcome was like usual spending or I sent money to them. No bulk money entered. Statement was always printed after the money was deposited. My invitation letter states where I work and the purpose of their visit: Documents: 1. Our acct statement, all three of us. I always state that my dad is the sponsor. My mum has small change to buy gifts for the kids. I have money should they need support 2 My work ID 3 My council tax or tenancy agreement ( proof of accommodation) 4 Their CAC (Business registration) 5 Invitation Letter 6. My BRP (Proof of my status) 7 My Birth Certificate (Proof of relationship) This is my third application. One thing I have done is consistency, what I claimed they earned annually, I bumped it a bit for the next application. I also make sure all details I filled tallied with that of the previous one. |

cfcchick:In my opinion, it’s okay, however what I have seen is that they scrutinise young people more than the elderly. I have always used one month for my parents and never got refused. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by IyaMo25: 9:20pm On Apr 04, 2025 |
[ [My mom’s first application was denied as I did not explain the flow of money in her account, and didn not prove her business was tax paying and profitable! Mind you I included CAC registration documents! She is also elderly. I am a bit confused on how to tackle this. I am the sponsor] |

Congratulations. what documents din you submit for your parents? Kwati: |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by davodyguy: 11:45am On Apr 05, 2025 |
LopzyYetty:You didn't really answer his question. We've seen people get denied visas even though they have 20 million in their accounts. Your parents are not first time travellers. Hence, their previous records worked in their favour. There's no way they would not have asked for the origin of the ₦11m in your dad's account and that of your mum. Because people deposit money into accounts before applying, they now ask where they got the money from, to the extent they trace all in flows. If you work with Zenith bank, they expect to see Zenith bank transfer to your account with description March Salary. That's the question the person is asking |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Kwati: 11:48am On Apr 05, 2025 |
Mak16788:Hello, thanks for the congratulatory message. My dad and FIL are both employed so I provided the following documents for each of them: 1. Letter from their employers affirming their employment, which stated date of employment, salary, and position 2. 1 month Payslip for my dad (no payslip for my FIL) 3. Visa letter from my UK bank (confirming I am a customer, my address, date I opened the account, current balance, and minimum balance in the last 28 days) 4. My last 3 month employment payslips 5. Passports 6. UK Council tax and utility bills 7. Photograph of me and my dad 8. My wedding certificate and wedding picture of my with my FIL & MIL 9. Invitation letter 10. Sponsor cover letter, explaining the reason for the trip, with a breakdown of 2M Naira budget for each person that will cover return flight, maintenance, local inter-city travel, and miscellaneous; without accommodation cause I will accommodate them. 11. Immigration share code As for my MIL, she is unemployed and does not own any business. Her only source of income is funds from family and friends, so for her application I included all the documents above without an employment letter and payslip. Note: No bank statement was submitted by me or any of them (only submitted my visa bank letter and my evidence of employment income). Thanks. |

Hello guys. I am trying to book appointment for biometrics so I can subsequently upload my documents. I begin the payment process only to get stuck at Flutterwave OTP page. Waited for more than an hour with nothing. Checked my email/junk and while at it I lost connection. When I logged back in the VFS page says “your appointment is not confirmed and your payment is in progress” What can I do or expect? Since I haven't paid shouldn't it take me back? I don't know why Flutterwave can't send OTP. My phone is fine. |
