Hello madam, Please if a couple indicate they are traveling together, must they submit application same time? Do you have any idea if couple/family application are treated together? So basically, the passport of one of them is with another embassy at the moment while the 2nd person wants to quickly apply, get it over with in order to have his passport at hand to make a quick trip before their planned joint trip. |

Michellasilva:In my case I tried to log in but the site doesn't even open anymore for me. I'm guessing I have to wait till Monday. All these because Flutterwave wont send OTP on time and I lost connection due to light going off. You think I should mail them? I have to search for their email |

Milito:If members of a family are travelling together, it is advisable they apply together. To the best of my knowledge, family applications are treated seperately - unless there are minors involved. The minor's application will be treated along with that of the parent(s). If one person needs to travel, then the person should apply and indicate the he/she is travelling alone. The same visa can be used to travel later when the second person is ready. I hope this helps. |

deji300:Your application is still considered to be under the normal timeframe. Below is what the home office says concerning administrative review: Currently, it can take 12 months or more to receive the result of the administrative review. If you do not get a decision on your application within 6 months, the Home Office will contact you with an update. |

Cashmadam:Thanks! Though, the imminent trip of one partner is to another country and not the UK. So the plan is just to apply and get the visa ahead, then make the coming trip to another country and on return the other partner's passport would be ready and also in for UK processing. If a couple's application is indeed assigned to different ECOs, I'd hazard a guess that there should be no harm applying at different intervals (2 weeks apart) eventhough they indicated they are to travel together. Furthermore, guys, please, can one reschedule a standard free appointment on this new VFS? |

What are you paying for? To book an Appointment is free. hyperflex: |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Michellasilva(f): 9:23pm On Apr 05, 2025 |
Abbebbay:Unless ofcourse, there’s no free date and he has to book one. If that’s the case, then there’s usually a page where you are required to input your 4 digit card pin before it takes you to the OTP page, make sure you actually click on the four boxes and input the pin before proceeding. I don’t know if you understand |

Milito:Yes, they can apply at different intervals but I strongly advise that they both indicate in their respective forms that they will travel with their spouse. |

davodyguy:lol, First of all, I didn’t attribute the approval of the visa to the amount in the acct. I only stated what worked for me. Yes they are not first time travellers but even when I applied the first time, I used the same method. Some things I cannot say here, all I would say is I have always used one month statement which was always printed after the bulk money was deposited. I have never been asked source of money. This is my truth. No bulk money in the part of the statement i printed except daily spendings and transfers mostly from me and my siblings. They are both self employed. PS: My MIL and parents come every six month interchangeably, and we have never been asked source of money. Why they didn’t ask I don’t know |

Good to be back on here after a wonderful vacation in the UK. I must say that London is only very expensive if you'll be paying for your own accommodation, but if you have accommodation already covered, then you have nothing to really worry about. If you have a relative, close friend, boyfriend/girlfriend who'll be accommodating you while visiting, then everything else becomes quite affordable. I was in London from March 21st till March 29th and spent about 693 GBP, which included fine dining with my girlfriend in Bishopsgate (an upscale area of London) for her birthday, lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant in the Greenwich area, lunch at a Thai restaurant within the 02-arena area, transportation on the underground train, bus and occasional Uber rides for a week, drinks and snacks for my girlfriend's house party. However, there were some minor grocery expenses and miscellaneous expenses my girlfriend willingly incurred even without me asking, which helped keep my total expenditure below 1,000 GBP. My round-trip flight on Qatar Airways from Lagos to London via Doha and via Frankfurt (due to a flight diversion after Heathrow was closed) was about 682 GBP, resulting to a total cost of about 1,375 GBP for my vacation, which didn't significantly exceed the 1,200 GBP I budgeted on the application for visa purposes. I hope this helps prove that it's very possible to visit London without breaking the bank.. |

In the checklist, the fields for other documents can only accommodate 6. What should one do in a situation where there are up to 12 other documents?

Hi brothers and sisters in the forum. God bless you all. Two weeks after biometric, UK visa requested for additional information, Which was sent to them since on the 14th of march, almost 4 weeks. 1. How long does it take to get a decision after sending the additional documents? 2. Is it necessary to send them email? Thank you as you help |

Sunnepa50:Good evening. I'm sorry to hear about your Mum's refusal. I no longer share my contact details as it has been abused in the past. I hope you understand. If you can share details of the refusals here, I will try my best to help. And others can help too. You can conceal any personal information you don't want in the public space. |
