Hello guys. I need help on this issue.

When I take photos or videos with my phone,the pictures always end up looking terrible. It doesn't matter if I use the front or back camera (it is even worse on the back camera).
With the back camera, my face looks so distorted and shapeless like ameoba.

But I noticed just recently that pictures and videos taken with my laptop front facing webcam look more attractive and reasonable.

I can take 30 pics with my phone camera and end up deleting 28 ----- but if I take the same 30 pics with my laptop webcam, I can easily keep 25 of the pictures.

I dont mean to brag but since I was a teenager (I'm 27), I've always heard compliments about my looks, so I know I am not ugly.

I really want to take pictures but I can't be using my laptop always since it is not mobile.

Please has anyone experienced this? What could be the cause as well as the solution?

Could changing my phone resolve this issue? And what phone should I get?

(My phone is Samsung S9 and I've been using Samsung S series all my life).

There are tricks to getting nice pictures with your phone. Some among them include: a clean lens and knowing your angles.
A pose that worked for Mr A may not work for you. That’s why you notice some people’s pictures usually have a particular style or pose - they’ve discovered the one that favours them. And some are fortunate that whichever or whatever pose works perfectly.

And hope you aren’t comparing yourself to instagram standards?

An introvert with the issue of taking pictures sounds like someone who either subtly ducks when the camera comes out or overanalyzes every pose, angle, and expression. It's that internal monologue of, “Do I smile? Do I look away? What do I even look like right now? This pic is blurry… should I adjust more? Wait, does this lighting even do me justice?”

It’s not necessarily about thinking you’re unattractive, deep down, you know you’re a fine guy. People say it, the mirror agrees, and there’s a quiet confidence that lives within.
