Hello everyone. I MODIFIED the post to correct the date in this post. Please, someone should help with info. Two weeks after biometric, UK visa requested for additional information, Which was sent to them since on the 14th of MARCH, almost 4 weeks now. 1. How long does it take to get a decision after sending the additional documents? 2. Is it necessary to send them paid email? Thank you as you help |

angiography:A very ill thought out plan. You had biometrics on March 25th and booked flight for April 15th? Asin exactly 15 working days and this is not a priority application? Everyone knows you should not buy a ticket until you receive a visa. It is even documented by UKVI as a disclaimer. I hope your decision comes in time but this was totally avoidable. |

jmoore:You need to rearrange List out, just like summary of the title of the documents you want to submit Then list out the options that is appearing on the VFS upload link. I will try to help you align |

I recently booked a free-date biometric appointment via the VFS portal. During the process, I selected additional services including After Hours Passport Collection and SMS Tracking Notifications. However, the payment did not go through due to an issue with the Flutterwave payment portal. Despite this, I later checked and saw that my appointment has been successfully booked. I would like to confirm whether my appointment is fully approved and if I will be able to pay for the additional services on the day of my biometric appointment, or if I need to take any further steps beforehand. |

Good day everyone, Pls I am finding it difficult to calculate just how much to place for my month expenditure if I want to indicate a 20M yearly earning while filling my online form, I know the consular do rigorous calculations when it comes to finances and I do not want to make any mistakes, Please can anyone here assist me with a monthly figure that would be reasonable within the 20M amount stated, If I need to increase the yearly earnings amount so the monthly figure for the expenses can seem reasonable pls kindly indicate a suitable figure for both yearly and monthly. Thanks |

He is asking if the category he chose on VFS is what he will write on his checklist description. jmoore: |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by crackcrack: 6:24pm On Apr 08, 2025 |
babybubu:You are worrying about the wrong thing. You can declare whatever income and expenses you want. Your lifestyle and reality is unique to you; entry clearance officers do not make “rigorous calculations” about your finances. The important thing is that you provide evidence to back up whatever claims you make in your application. Declare any amount you want for income and expenses, but your bank statement MUST match whatever it is you have declared. Otherwise, expect a refusal. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by jmoore(m): 6:37pm On Apr 08, 2025 |
kentdealer:Not for the checklist but for the vfs portal. I already got a reply and the category I uploaded seems okay. |

Mosun88:You definitely should be able to get a future date. If it's next week Fri you are unable to book, probably because it may be a public holiday. |

Please, help me with this refusal letter. We only put 3000 because the website wasn’t allowing us to proceed and we stated that we will be fully responsible for their upkeep. Please how can this be rectified. Thank you

Good morning. Your annual income is 1,680,000 Naira, which translates to 140,000 Naira per month, yet you want to travel to the UK for 2 months and spend 3,000 GBP? To be very frank with you, your earnings are quite low in Nigeria to be thinking of travelling abroad. Hence, I'd strongly recommend not applying until your monthly earnings hopefully increases to at least 400k or 500k per month and even if it does increase to at least 400k or 500k per month, you shouldn't be planning to visit the UK for more than 2 weeks because if applicants who earn about 1 million Naira are planning to visit for just 1 to 2 weeks, there's no plausible reason why someone earning 500,000 Naira or 140,000 Naira per month (in your case) should be visiting the UK for 2 months! Thank you so much for this. She is retired and hence only receive pension. But the 3000 was not intentional. The website won’t allow us unless we put an amount. And we provided more than enough funds as her sponsor. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 10:58am On Apr 09, 2025 |
@Oluwatomisin90 The amount you are to put for a fully sponsored trip os £1 It will let you go past when you put £1 or N1 Then you can not say a visitor is coming for 2 months and 30 days which is 3 months. No no no Fill max 3 weeks on the application form, if or when she gets visa you do what you want as she would be given a 6 months visa. Then reduce you the sponsor’s amount to £2500 max Provide a cover letter from you the sponsor saying what you are sponsoring and covering. Read this thread- you would be glad you did as it is obvious you went into this uninformed. Parents have it easier to be approved, pls read the thread |

Hello everyone. Please, is 12million Naira enough funds for someone to sponsor her mum and brother’s UK visit visa? She already has her visa and they will be traveling together. Thanks 🙏 |

| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Deedee10: 6:27pm On Apr 09, 2025 |
Good day. Please I need your advice. I applied for UK visit visa for the second time last month and the reason stated for the refusal I got today is so unclear. I applied to visit my wife who’s currently studying in the UK. Last year the reason stated for the refusal was that my expenses exceeded my income and I explained in this application that I recently got married and had to invest in my business, hence the financial discrepancies. Then I was also an employee at another company. However, I started my own business in January and submitted bank statements for the business and two of my personal bank statements. My business bank statement has money flowing in and out daily, with at least 2M per month. This was why I indicated that my annual income was 24M even though the business commenced in January. My proof of fund was above 12M in my business bank statement while the personal one was up to 2M. Does anyone understand why I was rejected and what I can do to rectify this, pls?
