I really don't understand you lot. One minute the players are not good enough to win the likes of Ipswich and Fulham while the next you want the same below average players to win the Europa. How is that going to happen if the players cannot start for Southampton like some said. Like I have said countless times Amorim has performed below par with the players at his disposal. The squad is capable of winning the Europa league and even finishing at least in the top ten. When we ask for results to improve you all said it's short term gain for long term failure.
If we win the Europa, the narrative would probably change to "Amorim has overachieved with the players" cheesy

Anyways, This one that Amorim has said he would be using kids henceforth in the league, we would really need that Europa trophy to "partially" compensate for a potential 15th position PL finish staring us in the face.

Bombblacks:
I didn't see anyone complaining about the win we had yesterday.
Some may not visibly show it but deep down, they are unhappy that we qualified.

If we win eventually, they may not be able to continue with the "the players are completely rubbish and we need to suffer before we smile" mantra afterall, the "correctness" of their earlier assessment of the team is more important than the actual success of the club cheesy

I still Dey scratch my head. That second half still Dey vex me this morning.
I just read that both Maz and Lindelof had to leave at half time to address family emergencies.

Some are saying that their homes might have been burgled with their families inside.

If true, that explains the Maz for Shaw substitution and partly explains the disjointed 2nd half.

Rúben Amorim:

"The reflection of the coach is the league. You can be good in your European games, but your reflection as the team is the league and we are underperforming.

But the elite nairaland coaches we have here are constantly gaslighting us and telling us we deserve our league position and the squad is not underperforming, even Southampton has a better squad than us.
Amorim's performance in the league has been abysmal and thankfully, he isn't living in denial.

We can only hope that he has learnt a lot this season because next term, the expectations would be significantly higher.

Yeah just read it right now. Make Shaw go back injury abeg.

I can’t be watching Maguire and Shaw in a 3 in 2025 abeg.

I'm concerned by this Dorgu guy we just bought
We cannot be complaining that our players are terrible and be adding more skreps to the squad

Na system player shaa, e sabi that wingback role like mad. Amorim will cook with more new signings like him in the summer.

Rúben Amorim: “We tried to put Harry Maguire [up there] because he's the only guy that can score a goal with his headers.

“And then Kobbie Mainoo, he has a lack of pace in this moment because he had that injury and he stopped for a while, but he's really good on short spaces, and then he has the ability to do that kind of goal.

“And then we try it, and sometimes it works, and today was a good day.”
..........wailers are making it seem like the players did all the magic on their own. In reality, we would have lost the match if not for Amorim's brilliance in tweaking the tactics and formation.

We even had to switch Maguire to a striker role because Højlund is completely unreliable, incapable of scoring even a tap-in. LOL!

With this set of players, neither they nor we truly deserve to qualify for the UCL next season. LOL!

Zero technicality. I'm struggling to see where his strenght lies. Make we dey look sha.
I'm afraid we've thrown money into the abbys of wastefulness, burnt by the fire of emptiness and scattered by the breeze of failure so that it won't be seen no more.

Please address those you had that discussion with and don't class everybody as the same. Of the 4 teams left in the competition, we have 3rd best team, we definitely are not favourites but on our day, we can beat anyone.

Let me ask you a question, is this squad good enough to win the Europa league?
We have the 3rd best squad of the 4 teams in the Semis. I think we are going to go into the game against Bilbao as underdogs which should work in our favor. Spurs, with all their players fit, are better, so, back to your question, we can win it, but it will take a lot of effort from the team (coaches and players).

Yeah Amorim the tactical genius just discovered the brilliant art of pinging it to a big man and inshallah. Such genius tweak and brilliance, who would have thought...

But he got you on this one sha, make i no lie. Putting Maguire upfront in the dying minutes of a game we needed to win at all costs is not tactical acumen. Pulis wouldn’t have thought twice before doing it.

.......as how?! LOL!

If nothing else was gained from the tactical decision, at least it made it obvious that we don’t have a solid squad.

And you with your brilliant analysis came up with a report that Southampton with 9 points have a better squad than us. Such an elite analyst, somebody give this man a medal.

He came in during the midseason and is still quite young. Hopefully he will improve significantly by next season.

Ellexy doing what Ellexy (nee Handelex) would attack us for doing back in the day.
But i agree with him, Amorim has been a shitty coach so far. Seem he just put out 11 players every game and hope for the best.
I will properly judge him next season whether or not the club bring in new players, see the Dorgu that joined in January already been labelled a flop by some people...

Same here. He has not impressed as a coach so far and he has to improve greatly next season, or he too will be shown the way out.
