Bobloco:
Wike is describing Peter Obi as a "social media candidate" the same Peter Obi who defeated the so-called Lagos blueprint builder in his own backyard, beating him blue-black like a common criminal, securing over six million votes nationwide in the last general elections, and who is currently the biggest political figure in Nigeria with a massive, organic followers.

Wike must be intoxicated probably from gulping forty-year-old whiskey when he made that statement. In fact, if I may borrow the words of Chidi Odinkalu, Wike has consumed a lot of deadly alcohol again
Look, Wike is deeply suffering from his loss in the PDP primaries to Atiku. Over the time, Wike systematically eliminated prospective Igbo candidates like Umahi and Peter Obi from PDP, thinking that he would get the PDP ticket. He pretended to be the Igbo man from the South South and his strategy failed him. He’s still crying over that loss.

Coming to the election proper, there was no way Wike could have scored nearly the total of Obi’s vote, if he won the PDP ticket.

First, he was already a known sadist, a violent person and a very cruel leader. Northern leaders would not have accepted him.

Rivers state consistently always produced over 1m votes for PDP. Right under his nose and even with his alliance with APC, he only a polled a total of 231,591 votes for Tinubu, while Obi polled 175,071 votes and PDP scored 88,000 votes. The same Obi brushed APC and PDP aside in Abuja. Where’s the social media.

The reality facing the likes of Wike is that Obi is now a huge mountain to climb. They have lost sleep over Obi.

Now Wike has another huge hurdle in Rivers state with Fubara. That’s why he quickly got his own zonal PDP exco, so that he can produce the next Governorship candidate. All Fubara has to do to return, is to secure the LP ticket and that’s it for Wike in Rivers state. He gradually is making himself a political leper and clings to Tinubu desperately to survive. Tinubu too has given him the condition to remain with him.

Obi beat your principal in lagos. No opposition party has ever defeated tinubu in lagos. Even OBj and GEJ. But Obi did it. That's why he is a big nightmare for Apc. Even tinubu know it.

Wike, if you are man. Come out and run for president again in 2027. Stop reducing yourselves as puppet in Tinubu hands. Your political career in the hands of tinubu which can dump you anytime he feels. And the moment tinubu dumps you. It is over.

Since Atiku beat you at pdp primary in 2022. You haven't stii recover from your shock and will understand your pain cheesy

Whether you support obi or not. Is irrelevant. It is only rivers state that your power start and end. Outside rivers state. Wike is useless.

Obi will run again in 2027. You will see him on ballot. While the so called emperor wike can't even gather ball and run again. He has reduced himself to tinubu puppy doing dirty job for BAT.
how many states did he win?

2023: PDP and politics of healing Wike’s self-inflicted injury

Then, the race began in earnest for three years now, reaching a frenzy with the works of the two PDP committees on zoning. The first was the Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi committee on the zoning of the PDP party offices. The Ugwuanyi committee quickly told the world the committee’s assignment did not cover zoning the office of the president. Though this was true, the question is: why didn’t the Ugwuanyi committee zone the PDP chairmanship to the North without aligning it to the divide that would produce the PDP presidential flag-bearer? The second committee headed by Gov Samuel Ortom of Benue state was specifically on the zoning of the presidential ticket and, with the votes of the representatives of all the 17 Southern states without any exception, the Committee unanimously recommended throwing open the PDP presidential ticket, which the PDP NEC simply upheld.

One thing irrefutably stands out – Wike shot himself in the leg. Here was a man who had an overarching influence on both committees but could not insist that the ticket be zoned South. Many had wondered why? The reason is also relatively in plain sight: the Southeast factor. As the clamour for zoning of the presidential ticket of the PDP to South reached its crescendo, many had pointed out the fact that though the PDP Constitution had prescribed zoning of the office of the president to be between North and South since the South-west and South-south had taken their turns in producing the president and the vice in this current dispensation in the persons of Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, zoning this time around, should not just be to the South but the Southeast.

Atiku Abubakar went a step further by offering to step down from the race if it would be agreed that the touted zoning to the South would mean micro-zoning to the Southeast. Wike and the rest could not take the Atiku challenge maybe because Atiku would likely back Peter Obi, who was his vice-presidential running mate in 2019 and an ally. The prospects of Peter Obi picking the ticket if PDP zoned South was so real compelling Wike to go for an open contest, believing he could pick it up ahead of Atiku, Tambuwal and Bala Mohammed, given his large war chest.

Win Rivers state and Abuja.

Whatever happens, Abuja people know who owns their votes. That certainly is not APC.

Rivers people, with all the recklessness of Wike, also know that APC will not get their votes. Wike is fighting hard for his survival. That’s why he has one leg in PDP to relegate the party and one leg in APC to promote himself.

Interviewer: But he won Abuja and got 6 million votes?

Just an FYI, no human or party dead or alive has ever defeated Tinubu in Lagos State. OBI DID THAT. He trounced him effortlessly with a nursery party.

If Peter Obi could only get 3 states in the last election, what are the chances of him winning in 2027? The likes of Wike, Aregbesola, Akpabio, Kayode Fayemi are all from the South West, the region where Peter Obi performed woefully.

As it stands now, Tinubu is the only candidate with a solid national structure.

2027 election would be tougher than 2023 election
Akpabio and Wike are NOT from south west

Facts and figures are never relevant to politicians when they make incredulous statements. With over 6 million votes spanning 12 states, one- third of the total number of states, in a third class political party with weak physical and political structure, he cannot be a social media candidate, Mr Wike.

This is the mistake that most Nigerians make. You think Social media represents the “general opinion of people”?

No wonder we have the crop of politicians we have in power today. Pardon me, your statement is myopic.

Do You think majority of the people who voted in the last election are on social media?

I’m not surprised that Obi won on social media.

For your info, Winning an Election in Nigeria is most times dependent on getting massive votes from rural areas that we call villages. Over there, na radio dem dey use and they mostly have voters card and they always come out to vote under the rain or under the sun.

If you take note of the demography of voters in Nigeria, you go know say no be by social media

Leave 2023. What worked for Obi was element of surprise. BAT didn't take him serious because he was considered a featherweight. More attention was paid on Atiku. Besides BAT fought many odds - president Buhari, APC structure, naira redesign, the economy, OBJ etc. Upon all these he came up tops. Wike is trying to be a political student of PBAT.

In 2027 should Obi attempt to come out alone he will be properly taken care of. That's why he's going up and down looking for coalition.

Rather, the question begging for answer is if you will again work to steal his votes in Rivers, and now FCT, and help your emilokan boss rig him into 3rd place like you did last time around?!🙂
