Doc, you are right about Amass but with United’s EPL season gone without any risk of relegation, I think increased game time during these final games will help with improving the deficit with his physical play.

Also, I won’t worry too much about the position he is playing right now because he has the talent but the focus should be about improving a critical aspect of his game.
Yeah, with the league season over I would start in him in most of the remaining league games.

Has Amorim done enough to be given next season?

No.. but sackin him now will be foolish. The time to bare our fangs is next season. Even at that we should be careful.

He has been average at best in the league. He will only get next season to either prove us right to give the trolls bragging rights.

.

1st correction. He has been way below average in the league. The squad is much better than 14th position.

2nd correction. He will get the 1st half of next season. Oct to Dec is historically the sack time.

If there is not significant improvement by the first few months of next season he should and will be shown the door.

It has been a disastrous performance from our manager so far..

For better context, Vitor Pereira, his Portugese brother, joined Wolves only in December.

Amorim staying beyond this season would only be based on sentiments and definitely not merit.

Hopefully, he siezes the opportunity and turns things around next term

Seems Wolves squad is better. Don’t worry. We will win Europa league and buy Amorim’s players for him so we can start winning league games.

Lol...😀
Amorim has been a disaster and a train wreck as Manchester United manager.
However his supporters are free to see what they like and bury their heads in the sand like ostriches. I know incompetence when I see it!
The Lyon victory in the Europa papered over the cracks of the ineptitude of this managers madcap tactics. We were leading a team by 2-0 and were pegged back to 2-2. Then fell behind 4-2 to 10 men at Old Trafford, before sheer determination of the players got a 5-4 victory.
Yesterday against Wolves the shambolic tactics were on full display again.
All Manchester United's eggs are now in the Europa league basket.

I just wonder if United fail to win the Europa league how INEOS can support this managers incompetence with money to buy players that will suit his magical system and then end up sacking him in December 2025. If anyone thinks this manager can improve next season even with eleven new players that can play his magic system then that person is totally deluded and in for a rude relegation dog fight awakening.
The records speak for themselves.
The records are appalling. Even the euphoria of the Lyon win cannot erase that.

Well I said average at best doc.

I except significant improvement next season though else he will have to go. Whether mid season or end of season.

He has not been average in the league. Unless average has another meaning.

He has been below average. Way below average. He has been quite bad so far in the league.

His saving grace is that he came during the season and did not have a preseason or a proper transfer window. Next season those excuses won’t be available for him.

Average at best is way too generous. He has been an absolute disaster in the league.

Amorim has been very poor, United would probably be relegated if he started the season looking at his current results...

🚨 | JUST IN:

Manchester United are INTERESTED in Osimhen but there is no agreement.

United are waiting to know whether they will qualify for the Champions League or not to understand the amount that will be spent.

Fredrickson was strong on the ball and tidy with his passes. decent display.
we can make do at the back for next season with what we've got at the club despite departures of Lindelof and Evans. they've hardly played anyways.
between injury magnets like Shaw and Martinez, we can hope their injury terms never collide again.
What will Shaw be doing here by next season? He has to leave, he should be the first out of the club.

Your last line is the only excuse he has. Hopefully we win the Europa and push it on from there.

Manchester United are leading the race to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves as negotiations are ongoing.

Personal terms are being discussed, as Man Utd are aware of more clubs keen + £62.5m release clause available.

Good feelings after initial contacts between Cunha and Manchester United.

Gyokeres release clause is £60M. I like Cunha but I prefer spending that amount on Gyok. Then we could add delap for £30M to bolster the attack further.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MRTA7: 8:40pm On Apr 21, 2025
I like Cunha. I'm guessing he's for one of the behind the striker roles rather than the main striker role. He's also a bit of a bastard which we need in the squad. He's also a good age. As long as he's not our only attacking signing I'm ok with it. He's a bit crazy though.

But Doc this has always been the normal plan, if he gets a certain among of signings and yet no improvement then he can be sacked

I never said that was not the plan.

I was just highlighting the point that he won't get the whole of next season. Once he has a preseason and a few new squad additions he has to start next season well or else he won't see Christmas, like so many coaches before him.

Are you sure nitrogen agrees, or he is lining up another manager to take over in the summer
