Lana1:They have a very solid defence, they hardly concede and we are clueless in attack. |

Oasis007:Odiegwu. Impatient and unintelligent fans will not insult him and pile pressure on him, calling for him to sold. Please I need experience players that will give us immediate results. If we want to develop, we can develop our academy players. |

![]() .....genuinely happy for Antony. He is doing well under Pellegrini and I see no reason they shouldn't get him permanently for next season. €50m ain't bad to get him from United permanently. Betis! Ẹ gbé Owó yẹ wá ní summer. |

Dalot injured. Out for some weeks at least. They should have just rested him completely for that Wolves game. |

The Injury to Dalot is a big blow I must confess |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 5:46pm On Apr 25, 2025 |
CapitalCee:He had already played the most minutes of any player for us this season before playing 120 minutes against Lyon. It made the most sense to rest him completely against Wolves, but we don't usually make sensible decisions. His injury is a calf muscle injury, which is usually due to work overload. The options are either to play Maz RWB and Dorgu LWB or play Dorgu RWB and Amass LWB. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by CapitalCee(m): 5:59pm On Apr 25, 2025 |
afrodoc:I have pointed this out before, there are players we need to protect. There was no need playing him in that Wolves game. Maguire, Deligt, Mazraoui, Casemiro, Bruno, Yoro and Dalot before his injury. These are our most strategically most important players. Playing Dorgu and Amass is very risky they are too inexperienced. We just need to fast track the return of Deligt, So that we can play Maz as RWB and Dorgu as LWB. Amass, Lindelof and Shaw can come in later to see out games. OR. Shaw can start as LWB, play for 60/65 mins, then bring in Amass to see out the game. Then in the return leg we hope Amad returns to play RWB. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 6:22pm On Apr 25, 2025 |
CapitalCee:If Shaw plays LWB for even 10 minutes he will be injured for at least 6 months. I think it will be Maz and Dorgu as WBs and Yoro, Maguire, Shaw at the back. P.S I assume we are talking about the Bilbao 1st leg. |

......after Cunha, jez get me Osimhen and close shop! We need Osihmen far more than he needs us. Delap is not better than Høljund. Loan the latter to a mid-club and watch him score double-digit. |

Kamason likely to make his debut tomorrow. Beneficiary of Dalot’s injury. |

The only team that gives me joy apart from manutd (Wrexham) about to do back to back to back promotion.. First of its kind.. |

afrodoc:Good we need to rest our players. Even Bruno needs to chill for todays match |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by CapitalCee(m): 7:33am On Apr 27, 2025 |
afrodoc:They came second behind city in the league. They fid not win, but they churned out few exciting players this year which is more important |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by CapitalCee(m): 7:36am On Apr 27, 2025 |
afrodoc:Honestly, I dont trust Shaw in that Back 3, he spreads panic in that backline. I will prefer Lindelof instead of Shaw. He can cone in Later. We lost our shape versus Lyon because of Shaw. I just hope that Deligt will be fully fit for the second leg. So that we will have a back line of Deligt, Maguire and Yoro. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 9:34am On Apr 27, 2025 |
CapitalCee:The problem is Lindelof is best as CCB because he has lost his pace. That also happens to be Maguire’s best position. Shaw is actually tailor-made to be LCB in this formation. He is a better flank defender than Lindelof and is also a competent CB based on what happened when he deputised for Martinez. What happened against Lyon was more due to him being not yet match fit than anything else. If he is fully fit now with 2 more weeks of training, a Yoro, Maguire, Shaw defence with Maz RWB and Dorgu LWB gives us the best balance. The question is, how fit is he now? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 1:06pm On Apr 27, 2025 |
Kamason didn't even make the bench. Must be injured. On the other hand, this line up might actually be the one that will face Atletico this Thursday. This might be a test run. Amorim should just pull out Casemiro, Maz and Shaw on time please. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by delkuf(m): 1:14pm On Apr 27, 2025 |
afrodoc:this coach doesn't believe in young players. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 1:27pm On Apr 27, 2025 |
delkuf:Factually untrue. The evidence just does not support your statement. He was at Sporting Lisbon for 4.5 years and in that period 23 academy graduates made the move to the senior team. In his 5 months here 5 teenagers have made their debuts, 3 of which came through the academy. With more time we will see if he believes in youths or not but for now it is still too early to castigate him. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 1:39pm On Apr 27, 2025 |
Amorim is very funny. Why play your best available team for a dead rubber game? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 1:41pm On Apr 27, 2025 |
Many people who are desperate for the senior team to succeed just want the manager to toss youth players into the senior team, and do not care whether the youth is physically or emotionally ready for the promotion or not. Exposing a youth player who is not ready for it might interfere with his development either as a player or as a human being. In most cases, the coaches are right to hold back for reasons we might not be aware of, especially coaches with track record of promoting youth like Amorim. |
