Unaccompanied minor service. It’s not paid for. All the major airlines offer it, the difference is in the ages. Some take from above 5, some above 8 years etc. It is a very common service. No extra payment needed.
I think the extra payment comes from the fact that one has to book an adult ticket in place of a child ticket for the child.

Incorrect . You dont buy adult ticket. U buy the usual child ticket and fill a paper form at the front desk or contact customer care via webforms/telephone etc to book it. Child will have a dedicated staff to them at al tiems and at all steps of the way. No delays. At the final destination will be helped to clear customs etc & get luggage and handed over to the receiver tht was filled initially. The service does not carry any extra cost. One just needs to confirm with the airline their age limits. Ciao.

This is nice to read.

Please can I send a complaint when the refusal letter stated that "there is no right of appeal or right to administrative review." If yes, I will need their contact, please. I would like purse this to logical conclusion.

Visa Refusal Overturned!

If you feel that the Home Office adjudicated your visa application wrongly, sometimes it is important to go the hard way and hitting back can potentially bring about a positive outcome. My lawyer advised me to do just that when my mother’s application was refused a second time with another flimsy excuse. The first refusal was due to unexplained funds in her account. We waited for a while and put in a second application for her to visit for Christmas. Everything seemed perfect. More than 20 documents submitted with sufficient funds in her account, employment and property ownership documents. I submitted everything necessary and opted to be her sponsor. Her application for entry clearance was refused.

The Home Office refused her application on two grounds: (a) unexplained increase in salary from her previous application, which we explained with evidence - very laughable!!!! (b) that they were unsure if her sponsor would still have a valid leave by the time of her visit (a stupid move, because my ILR had been approved the previous month and the ECO probably didn’t check the BRP submitted). The lawyer laughed when he saw this and told me to lock horns with the Home Office.

We sent a Pre-Action Protocol (PAP) Letter on 30th December 2024 asking the Home Office to reconsider its decision or we proceed to judicial review. They replied on 8th January asking for 3 months to review the case. We sent a reminder mail on 9th April, and the Home Office decided to overturn its decision yesterday. They apologised and asked for the passport to be submitted to VFS.

Imagine if we took the high road and accepted such nasty fate, when in fact we had a strong case! If you feel an injustice against you has been done by the Home Office, take it legal sometimes. This does not apply to most visa refusal cases of course, but if you feel a reconsideration is warranted then go for it by sending a message to the complaint office or getting a lawyer to send a PAP. Yes, it cost me more than £1200 in legal fees, but I got the right outcome! If we had accepted it and reapplied, they would’ve found another excuse to refuse her again and her record would’ve remained tarnished.

Good morning everybody. I would like to ask something that is bothering me on the VFS website. This is my first time making an application since the UK moved from TLS, I am trying to upload some documents now and do the rest in a few days. I want to be sure I can upload them bit by bit via self-service. I don't want to click upload and save and then submit all the application.

Not sure the name is accompanied minor. But there is a service in qatar where you pay the airline to assign a staff for ur kid, infact, you have to pay adult ticket for your kid, furthermore, you have to pay return ticket for the staff back to the takeoff country. So is this not extra payments? 😂

The index question was about unaccompanied minor service and once again it is not extra paid for. Just a flight ticket and filling in the unaccompanied minor form. Eta cio!
You dont pay any airline staff to come back with your kid.
Stop.
I can understand your comprehension skills are subpar.
My children have used Air france, British airways and South african airways unaccompanied minor services and nothing was paid for. They used their child tickets all 8 times. Leave my post alone since you have nothing to contribute ogbeni

They can be deleted. It's only after biometrics, that access to upload and delete is made unavailable.

1st Application
Applied with my two children – Visa refused.

2nd Application
Again, applied with my two children – Visa refused.

3rd Application
Applied alone – Visa refused.

4th Application
Applied alone – Visa refused.

5th Application
Applied with my two children.

UKVI contacted me to provide an additional document, which I submitted.
My visa and my daughter’s visa were approved, but my son’s remained pending.
I kept calling UKVI until the issue was escalated. Eventually, they reached out and apologized, explaining it was a technical issue and not my fault.
The following week, I received the approval email and call from UK asking me to go to Vfs without pick up mail which I did.

Just picked up the passport.
VISA APPROVED for three of us.

Bottom line: All our visas were finally approved.

I learned a lot from this platform, which gave me the confidence to handle the application process on my own. I also backed it up with heartfelt prayers and praise to GOD!

Sometimes, when you've done everything right and things still don’t work out, it may be spiritual. That’s why I turned to prayer.

To anyone going through this journey—don’t give up, no matter what.
They may say no, but GOD has the final say. PERIOD!

Wishing you all the very best!
@ Courageous Congratulations

1) Pls are you the sponsor or your husband?

2) pls how much in pounces did you budget for three of you?

3) how many days is the trip?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by volticvox:
Sure! A complaint is different from an appeal. If you feel the ECO has made an error in your decision and you want to call their attention to it, send an email to complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk. Since you’re looking to do it yourself, make sure you present your issue in a sensible and professional manner. Identify all the areas you feel they overlooked with reasonable measures and make them see why it was a flawed decision. The Home Office can be tricky as they might come back with a different reason for refusal. That is why your case must be foolproof before you try to pushback. I suggest you analyse your case thoroughly and ensure you understand the merits before proceeding with a complaint. You are not guaranteed a response, but if you feel you have a shot and want to shake them further, get a lawyer to send a PAP.

I am certain that British airways asks one to buy an adult ticket for an unaccompanied minor.

@ Courageous3011

Please what did you do differently this time for the Visa to be approved?

Kindly let us know.

Thank you

I wrote a detailed cover letter explaining the previous refusals, and the funds in and out of my account … then above all, we backed it up with serious prayer…
