Factually untrue. The evidence just does not support your statement.

He was at Sporting Lisbon for 4.5 years and in that period 23 academy graduates made the move to the senior team. In his 5 months here 5 teenagers have made their debuts, 3 of which came through the academy.

With more time we will see if he believes in youths or not but for now it is still too early to castigate him.
I was part of those that wanted us to sign him but I don't seem to know his ideology. I believe in development. I believe that of using millions of dollars to buy players we should look into the academy. Look at dorgu. Since he was bought no impart

Don't we have players in the academy to play dorgu role. But we went ahead to sign him. Amorim doesn't know what he is doing

Amorim is very funny. Why play your best available team for a dead rubber game?
It is a tough one but i would have liked him to rest Hojlund, Bruno, Casemiro, Maguire. We need that spine to be on point against Athletic Bilbao.

What exactly are you saying? Is it that we should not buy players again and only use the academy?

The fact that we signed Dorgu does not mean we don't trust the academy. There is no academy LWB who is guaranteed to be ready for regular first team football for maybe 1-2 years. Or do you want us to play with no LWB until maybe Amass/Mantato mature into better players in 2027 OR do you want us to rely on Amass week in week out before he is ready like we did Garnacho, so that fans can turn on him when he makes the inevitable mistakes?

Dorgu not doing well is an indictment on our player ID and scouting. It has nothing to do with not trusting the academy.

None of Amass's age mates in the England youth set up is a starter for their club.

Amorim should trust the academy more. We have wasted lot of money over the years buying average players for lots of money. This is why we are where we are today.

Amorim coming in, I think this ideology will change but it is still same if same.

Bruno should move to CM and Mainoo should move to the left 10.

You seem adamant at sticking to this conclusion even though sufficient evidence and explanation concerning the situation has been provided.

I care less about the result today, I just want the player to play their best game against Bilbao and in the final of the UEL...Three games and that's it...

Exactly...He should be quick with the substitution come the second half of proceedings.

Shaw seems unimpressed with Dorgu at LWB - the Englishman wants to reclaim the role by fire by force grin

Don't these players train? Apart from being dominated physically almost always, their passes are always to the wrong foot, cant dribble past opponents. Little technical details that add up and make the difference

Is it possible that pro players are this bad

Not just pro players. Great pro players.

I know once we make it to the UCL we will attract better and classier players ....

These losses are getting tiresome to be honest ..

Wish the lads luck and Godspeed on Thursday

We are in serious trouble!

When we start accepting that we need to defend deep against a mid level team in Bournemouth, we are not n trouble. We look weak, slow and clueless in some positions.

Meaningless brain dead passes are the back is tiresome. We need radical changes at this club, Dorgu looking like a dud, God abeg oo

15 premier league defeats in a season. Another record loading. These guys are not 15th position players. This team is better than its current position.

Amorimball is not for us.

We need to improve on Onana, any well deserved taken shot on target is a goal.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Goosethetruth(m): 2:58pm On Apr 27, 2025
How the players are being criticised while the manager and his dreadful record is being exonerated is just baffling.
This means Manchester United are going to lose all their remaining matches in the league because all the eggs are in the Europa league basket.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 2:59pm On Apr 27, 2025
When Klopp got to Liverpool, he took a season or two and then had Liverpool covering more distances than their opponents. We won't make any progress if our players don't step up their work rate.

Apart from the shot itself, he was the one who put us under pressure from our own free kick by holding on to the ball and then passing it to a defender under pressure.

As in Onana is a net negative, we need to overhaul our attack and change the GK, honestly a lot will improve

Excuses all over the board just to exonerate the main person that should take the can for these dreadful and disgusting performance in the league.
United have not even crossed the 40 points mark yet with a -8 goals difference.
All these poor performances are being blamed on players, scouts, medical team,INEOS,or the Glazers.
Let's blame everyone except the main culprit who is the manager.
Next season is going to be interesting....

I remember when everyone was saying a ball playing keeper is the trend. We need to play out from the back. We maltreated DDG and went to pick the best GK in the UCL (at the time), who is not only bad at keeping the ball, but somehow lost his ball playing skill in less than one year after signing him.

How he lost his ball playing abilities is a wonder to me.

The funny thing is that the trend has disappeared in the PL for whatever reasons..

Abi when last you hear that phrase? grin

After some high profile goalkeeping errors in the PL 2 seasons ago thereabouts that were ironically attributable to the "ball playing abilities" of those keepers, everybody re-align sharply cheesy
