Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has criticized former presidential aide Hakeem Baba-Ahmed over his recent political commentary ahead of the 2027 elections.

In a post shared on X, Olayinka wrote: “One man from Mauritania is going up and down, telling real Nigerians in the North what should happen in 2027.”

Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, who served as Special Adviser on Political Matters to Vice President Kashim Shettima until his resignation in 2024, is a prominent voice in the Northern Elders Forum and a frequent commentator on national issues. He has been vocal about leadership direction and electoral expectations ahead of the next general elections.
