Hello ouse..please help me out with these
I got an intent of offer from university of herefordshire on 29/4/ that they will send me offer letter later but my agent called this morning saying they sent an invoice to him that we should pay school deposit soon.
My concern is now is it possible for the school to contact the agent only without sending me mail with student id cos from the first mail they said they will send me student id which I will use for payment..
Secondly the date on the invoice sent is 15/4/25 of which we haven't apply then..
Please anyone one that have experience this or who is in Hertfordshire should please enlightened me on the payment process

No school acts like that. Ask the agent for the proof from the school.
How is an adult like yourself even listening to such tales.
They sent u invoice from 15/4/25 and you believe. Why are you refusing to use your discretion?

Thanks for your response.

Ex wife. Remarried.

Regarding getting a UK solicitor, the last solicitor we got didn't advise us well and did a shabby job. What do you think a solicitor can do that we can't do ourselves?

Thanks for taking your time to respond. I will be waiting to hear sincere advice.

giselle237:
You would do well to get immigration advice from a Uk solicitor as this journey is not usually easy given your immigration history. Secondly is it ex wife or wife?

Good evening here, please I will like to ask a question if want to apply for UK visiting visa which bank statement is good and suitable most to submit (1) 6 month bank statement (2) 9 month bank statement (3) 1 year bank statement. Please I will like to know the best among the list because I heard UKVI now request for 1 year bank statement.

Whoever told you that should be ignored completely. There is nowhere public that UKVI has published a length requirement for bank statements for visitor’s visas.

Three months is usually fine. Anything more than six months is overkill.

Thank you so very much for your detailed response.

Due to my immigration history, would you advise I apply myself or get a UK immigration solicitor?

Most people do not need a solicitor unless their circumstances are complicated, they have too many abscess, criminal convictions etc
The UK solicitor will help you map out the right path.
Lawyers, solicitors and legal experts are not anyone’s enemies, they are professional ppl who spent an integral part of their life to get expertise and obviously, they have the right to charge an adequate fee.

Speaking of bank statement, is it okay to use a separate account where lump sum won't reflect or is it better to use a regular running account?

And how much balance is advisable?

Thanks

Iriabay:
Good morning guys!!
Please, I need help..
1. My sister is on postgraduate visa working in the UK.
2. My wife is currently on a student visa in the UK too.

Now, here is my case:
I want to apply for a visit visa to go visit my wife, as it's been almost a year now( body no be firewood).

I am confused on whether to use my sister or my wife as partial sponsor.

I have over 6 million in my salary account and earns above 700k/M.

Try to Save more money before applying ,according to your statement you want to spend 1500 pounds on this trip, this is half of your savings ,secondly you might not need a UK sponsor ,all you need is letter of invitation from your wife ,her passport data page and immigration status ,utility or rental documents ,you may not need her employment details but her school ID card is fine ,also you can only state that you know someone else in the UK ( your sister ) best of luck and ensure you include marriage certificate and evidence of sufficient pictures with your spouse ,preferably family pictures ,before i forget to show your family tie include your house documents ,children birth certificate ,payslips ,bankstatement and reference letter from the bank and other evidence to show your financial circumstances in Nigeria ,u re free to dm me
best of luck

I want to use my sister as partial sponsor as she wants to support with £1000.

But I'm going to visit my wife(I can't use her as sponsor as she recently works above the allowed number of hours).

But my wife is the one inviting me and all.

I intend to spend £1500 total on the trip..that is, my sister £1000 and myself £500..

Then her payslip and all.

NB: I have 2 kids in Nigeria, I own properties, I work, and also a pastor in a church..

Please, is this feasible?
Someone please help evaluate my profile

3 times more than what is to be spent on travelling.

Remember, you have a family.

You should get support from a UK based immigration professional.
Deportation usually refers to people who have served prison sentences.

This might help you https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/deporting-non-eea-foreign-nationals/revocation-of-a-deportation-order-accessible#:~:text=An%20extant%20deportation%20order%20must,deportation%20order%20will%20be%20invalid.

I suspect it's the lack of travel history.

Maybe you build up your travel history by applying to other countries like France. You have a good profile.

All the best!

This is an interesting case. I’m trying to understand what went wrong here.

Did you submit the company’s bank statement? I see you submitted invoices, but payment for those invoices should be reflected in the company’s bank account.

It looks like you were paying yourself 700,000 monthly as salary. Was the company making enough money every month to justify paying you a 700k salary? If yes, this should be reflected in the company’s bank statement. Again, did you submit that?

You submitted a tax clearance certificate. Did the amount paid in taxes in previous years imply that your company is profitable enough to pay you 8.4 million annually?

It’s always harder for self-employed folks. But if you provide answers to these questions, some people here might be able to help guide you for when you reapply.

Good afternoon everyone, I created a UKVI account today in other to link it to my evisa, I got a mail that I can view my evisa minutes after linking but when I open the link in the mail and login to my profile. This is what I see. Screenshot attached

I can access my share code though without any issues, it's just the evisa I can't access.

Should I be worried?

Hi,

I recommend you also post this in the "Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3)" thread. You might get some more insights there.

From what I see in the screenshot it appears that your e-visa is not quite ready for viewing yet despite what they told you. These things happen.

I wouldn't be too worried. I suggest you wait for a day or two for the system to work itself out and then try again.

Cheers.

You are right, I should have submitted my company’s statement account to show my monthly income.

The tax card does not show annual income. They suspected I played smart.

I will fix things up and listen to advice here.
