larride:Osimhen is my only candidate for the striker position, spillo1 just gave reasons why the deal may not happen and i concur with him. Try they understand convo before you throw accusation, non of us have a say on which player the club will eventually sign. If Amorim is happy with the players sign, who are we to complain.. |

spillo1:i'm trying to understand what you were trying to prove. Bellingham had his best season last term aged 20, so I'm just scratching my head. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by spillo1: 5:46pm On May 15, 2025 |
ChristineC:He claimed everyone could see how great Bellingham was at 16, so I just showed him the receipts proving that wasn’t the case." |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by spillo1: 6:09pm On May 15, 2025 |
ChristineC:There are rumours that Amorim wants to keep Casemiro next season, and with Ugarte also staying, I doubt the club will prioritize signing a new DM. What’s certain is we are in the market for a goalkeeper. We have been linked with Milinkovic from Torino and Senne Lammens. |

spillo1:Hmm. I guess I have to speak for myself next time ![]() But he was impressive at a young age. Anybody who did not see that does not know ball. |

spillo1:Whether Icardi score 25 or not is not my business. Osimmhen has done it in france, italy and now turkey |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Bombblacks: 6:45pm On May 15, 2025 |
Gyokeres is my top choice for that striker role. I really rate Mbeumo too—efficient, direct, exactly the kind of player who would join Newcastle, start performing immediately, and everyone would be wondering why we weren’t in for him. If the fee’s around £50 million then good. I don't rate Semenyo that much. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by spillo1: 7:15pm On May 15, 2025 |
odizeey:Done it in France’? Bro, he scored 13 league goals in his only season there and two were penalties. By that logic, Delap’s already ‘done it’ in England. Let’s be real Osimhen has only hit over 15 league goals once in Europe’s top five leagues, and that was in Italy. So let’s stop pretending he’s Harry Kane or Lewandowski. How many goals do you think he would actually score for us in the Premier League? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 7:39pm On May 15, 2025 |
spillo1:You dey wind me? 18 goals six assists |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 7:42pm On May 15, 2025 |
Because na only league matches people dey play. Na me tell Delap say make he no fit score for other games? No doubt, he has prospects. If we get him, we must get someone with Osimhens experience along with him else it's failure. I might be wrong. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 7:44pm On May 15, 2025 |
The beautiful thing about Osihmen is that he score important goals. When you need him. Not those rashford kind of goals. Blank from January to March, then bang from April to may to cover up, where league don end. Na why you go look drogba stats and laugh. But when you analyse his game, you go see say he dey always turn up. ![]() |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by spillo1: 7:59pm On May 15, 2025 |
odizeey:Even when you include all competitions, it doesn't look much better. He’s only hit 20+ goals in all comps once in a top five league. His season tallies? 18, 10, 18, 31, and 17. Those are Bruno Fernandes numbers talkless of an elite striker. |

spillo1:Oshimen did 18 goals in 38 games for Lille. He won Lille best player that year Oshimen scored 76 goals on 133 goals for Napoli winning golden boot and Seria A best player. Oshimen has scored 35 goals on 36 games for Galatasary. He will also win Turkey golden boot. Oshimen also has 26 goals in 40 games for Nigeria. To Delap, Oshimen is Harry Kane and Lewandoski combined. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by larride(m): 8:01pm On May 15, 2025 |
There's absolutely nowhere Oshimen has played that he doesn't score. Comparing Delap to Oshimen should be considered a crime with the punishment been stoning in the market place. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by spillo1: 8:07pm On May 15, 2025 |
Spending 75 million and handing out £300k a week for a striker putting up 18, 10, and 17 goals in all comps across seasons would be pure madness. No wonder no club is rushing to meet his demands. |

Dorgu cost €30 million January buy. Very big waste of money cuz from January till now. His only impact on the team was the red card he won again real Sociedad.. If we had kept that 30m and added it to the striker budget everything for good.. Instead of buying delap for 45m. Add that 30m to it. Making it 75m. |

spillo1:18, 10, 18, 31, and 17, 35 and counting Goals that matters. Baba dey turn up where it matters. Delap don score reach 13 goals for him career? I can't believe you are comparing Osimhen to Delap. You see why we can't leave the trenches? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 9:42pm On May 15, 2025 |
larride:Don't just score. Score goals that matter. Goals that people need. If Osimhen score 17 goals , those 17 goals go be important goals. No be to dey waste goals. ![]() |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 9:43pm On May 15, 2025 |
You go buy Delap finish now, you go come dey blame coach, or dey shout say Garnacho no dey pass. ![]() |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by spillo1: 9:54pm On May 15, 2025 |
odizeey:Let’s be clear this isn't about comparing Osimhen to anyone. I am simply highlighting his stats to determine if he truly qualifies as an elite striker. So far, his career reflects that of a solid 20 goal a season striker. Nothing extraordinary or mind blowing. Scoring 18, 10, or 17 goals in a season are for attacking midfielders and wingers not elite strikers. Now, has he ever really shown up when it matters most? He was ordinary during the AFCON for Nigeria. Show me the goals and performances he has dropped when it really matters. Whatever he's doing at turkey is irrelevant . This is a league where Enner Valencia, at 33, scored 29 league goals just two seasons ago, Icardi at 32 scored 25 last season. That puts things in perspective. Osimhen isn’t doing anything special there. He's doing the bare minimum. |

![]() .....if dem like, make dem leave Osimhen go buy "Deleg", na dem sabi. Na to finish 17th again with no UEFA Competition the following season. |

Oasis007:If they buy him now and he flops two years later , one bomblastic guy will be telling us people didn’t object to the sale. |

Leyqute: ![]() ........United fans eh! We downgrade from signing Strikers like Ibrahimovic, Cavani, Falcao to Zirkzee and Højlund, yet we wanna add another aaavvvveeeerrrraaagggeeee Striker to the Squad. A proven striker that can bang all sort of goals. A fighter with a heart made of steel that can also press non-stop for 90mins should be ignored for perhaps Højlund 2.0?! LOL! |
