I want to assume that this people do not understand the concept of mobile number porting. NCC should do more for subscribers.

Those 2 sim na part of my furniture
Glo is the most useless network in Nigeria.

Once you recharge up to 500, they will convert it to cug to call only Glo line + their anyhow network.

The hausa man that bought it doesn't have the capital to rub the business.

Same thing also happened to NTEL undecided
Telco is very capital intensive. Even Mike Adenuga struggled at some point and had to even leave Ghana.

I fear this people there was a day I bought a 9mobile sim I went to lecture that day before I came back it was in the night only for me to recharge my sim and try to make call with it, I was hearing your line has been barred.
When I went back to the shop I bought it from they told me sim have been blocked I should get a new 1,
Since that incident I never buy their sim again 2016.

People need to move on from this carrier. Port your number out quickly! At their peak they had 23.4m subscribers. As of March of this year they only have 3.2m subscribers. The writing is all over the wall. If this is not an indication of a network that's dying very quickly, I don't know what else is. They are not making enough money to sustain their infrastructure. It's a fast sinking ship!

9Mobile? Otilo. I am not surprised they went under. They made their internet data prohibitively expensive while banking on their speed then.
I warned that with time others would catch up and there would be nothing spectacular about them and they will invariably go down and it's happening today.
That is not the whole story. They were the only company giving us actual quality internet service even though relatively expensive. As at 2012/13 when we only had 3g network, Etisalat had better data speed than the so called 5g scam we have now.
They were weighed down by unfavorable government policies which made the Arabian owners to sell off around 2017/18. I still salute that decision to date. Quality or nothing. The Nigerian owners have gone from failing to meet same standard to even outright collapse. Goes to show that the Arabians were doing well managing the company unlike the other companies we have now with outrageous tariff but poor service

Porting to Airtel from 9Mobile failed.
Tried to port to MTN, it failed.
After two days, I went to the mall to complain to MTN staff. I saw Glo Office..walked in with a little faith. Ported to Glo, E sweet me

Please where do you traveled to before you could port ? I am stuck here cos the affected number is what is attached to my BVN and as such i can't receive OTP for my transactions and verifications.
Help a brother. I base in Ibadan as well.
Infact at a point i gave the phone to someone travelling to Lagos with the hope there would be network and i can just initiate the transaction from here while he send me the OTP but for all the 3 days in used in different part of Lagos, same wahala.
OluwatobiJoshua:
Your option is to travel to another area that has a good 9mobile network and PORT your sim to another network. We have the same issue in Ibadan, I traveled to another place then ported to MTN and I have never regretted it ever since. That is if it is your main line and you cannot afford to do without it.

I understand what you’re going through. When I traveled to Ikorodu for a program, I found a good network and visited a nearby MTN office to port my number. You can do this anywhere as long as you have a reliable network. If you travel frequently, take advantage of any strong network you see on your phone to make the switch. Cc dydx2020

This roaming agreement that allows them to use MTN's network infrastructure may help in the near term. This confirms that 9mobile is a struggling carrier.
