Hello everyone, Please lets keep this thread alive. Those with recent travel should please post their visa, POE and birth stories to help others. I recently applied for visit visa, did my biometrics last week, and I'm waiting for feedback. I applied with my family and I have an active US Visa. Hope to post my visa approval soon. |

How easy/fast is it to get a gynae in Canada? Time references based on experience would help. |

With your US visa, should be a walk in the park. Congratulations in advance. Mamaiyanu: |

Hi everyone , Pls I need advice on how to go about getting my wife a visa to do birth in Canada. We got married 6 month ago and she’s a month pregnant. Her travel history : France and Belgium. Do I just apply for a tourist visa for her or I need to specify she’s going to give birth? I the husband have a valid USA, Canada, uk , schegen visa. Is there any way I can help with her application? Thank you guys |

Desmondola2020:From some experiences that have been shared here, most people just apply for visiting visa, as declaring child birth for purpose of visit makes it harder to get visa approval, even though some declared birth tourism and still got their visa approved https://www.nairaland.com/clans Someone here declared child birth as purpose of visit and she was invited for interview which rarely happens and still denied visa https://www.nairaland.com/mslala My advise it is 50/50, if you can defend the birth tourism strongly, you can declare, alternatively apply for VV once approved, you can write IRCC to notify them you intend to use the visa for birth tourism |

Thank you for your response. I will apply for a visit visa then. She should get it since she has been to France and Belgium also. Plus my own travel history might help. Towerofgrace: |

Please sabi mamas For those that gave birth in ontario without their spouse present to sign the documents. How did u handle the passport processing for your little one? Did hubby get a notarized consent from court in nigeria and send to u? Kindly enlighten me |

njidekachi:Hello Mama, read back some few pages, you will see how it was handled by other mamas, from what I read, your hubby will do the signing at the closest canadian embassy to him. |

Everyone beware of scammers!! A scammer chatted me after seeing my posts here claiming to be @Amakapritty. Said (S)he has contact of a Nigerian Doctor in Canada, one doctor Spiritual. I gave his contact to my sister because S(he) insisted on speaking with her and my sister ran a check on the so called Ade’s number only to find out it’s a regular Nairaland scammer . Please Beware o! Imagine trying to scam a pregnant woman, cursed be his soul. Amen The numbers are 09161344876 ; Dr Spiritual 08152490506 ( the scammer claiming to be AmakaPritty)
