Generation X: 1970s to 80s

This Generation grew up on books, moonlight games, mud play and plasticInes. They experienced what NTA was and learnt how to pronounce words by watching Sesame Street. They are adventurous and very creative. One virtue they possess is an ability to fix things instead of discarding them as junk. The power of writing belongs to them as this was the Era of letter writing and under the mango tree romance.

Generation Y: 1980s to 90s

This Generation also experienced what the Gen X had but they grew up on books, computer games like the Nintendo and shows like Voltron. These are the children who love to meet up with friends at their house to play games on their computers and game Nintendo and Gameboy consoles. Unlike their older guys who were bookish and meet up to swap books, this ones meet up to swap games.

Generation M and Z: The Millenials.

These are the "Indomie" children. The ones who grew up on phones, tabs and the technology advancements. They are smart or so they'll have us the Older Generation believe but they have a flaw which is:
They have zero tolerance level for patience.
They believe in discarding things instead of fixing them.
If they're stuck in a rut instead of thinking their way through, they rely on gadgets to do the thinking for them.
Their inventiveness has led them to basardize the English language by creating words of their own and inserting those words in the English vocabulary such that they now sound sensible where they once wasn't
Words like.
Duh
Baddo
Baddest and a host of others.

So I put forward this question. Which Generation is the smartest?

For me I chose Gen X not because I belong to that Generation but because we are adaptable. We can easily adjust to whatever trend we find ourselves in unlike the Gen Zs.

Like for Baby boomers, share for Gen X
I bet there are more my generation X than Baby boomers on Nairaland.

Just because we're Gen X let's be honest. Apple, Microsoft, almost all forerunner apps, and even the internet itself that started it all, are all Baby boomers

Those Baby boomers began the technology advancements but it was us who took it a step further and made the baby boomers saw what technology could become. Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and their Generation started the innovation of what would today be digital technology but it was guys who created Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and the Android open source program who made technology what it is today and this guy's are all Gen X.

You still have to admit they STARTED it and give credit for that. Also, if you check well, almost all successful apps are built upon a long line of unsuccessful ones, and the original idea usually goes all the way back to baby boomers

True jare my Brother but Na we the Gen X be the smartest cos we saw their mistakes and learnt from it by improving on it. Today thanks to our innovative spirit, the baby boomers caught on eventually.

Yeah it could be but there's a difference between book smart and street smart which they don't have. We have it. We can do without Ai if we want because we have been able to think of creative ways of solving problems which our Alpha Children don't have. Because of the season they were born in. So who in your opinion are the smartest?
Baby boomers? They're the Pioneers I don't dispute but you'll agree with me that of the one who paved the way and the one who made the same road motorable for others to navigate the route smoothly who did the best work?
Anyways I acknowledge our Baby boomers. Without them, we won't see the opportunity to maximize their idea into what the Gen Alphas are building on today. So the sum total of all these: No Generation is smarter. We all built on the ideas of past Generations to get here as future Generations are gonna build on ours to get to where they will be.

Nonsense

Baby boomers and millennial are the best. But you see those Gen Z,
They are nothing but God forbid. The only thing in their head is TikTok and Instagram

Majority of what we enjoyed today started with generation X but generation Y modernised it and make things much easier. In my opinion, generation Y adapt easily to change than generation X. Taking myself as an example, what I can do with technology as a generation Y is far beyond what most generation X can do. In fact, I find it hard explaining things to them than my fellow generations and generation z.

The best generation according to me is generation Y.

I like Gen X - they do have some of the tenacity of Boomers. But Gen Z are my favourites. They're generally less cynical and try to make the world a better place. I think (hope) that Nigeria will get better when they start running it.

Surely X comes first then Y. Those set of people think of better ways of solving problems then this once.
