Why do they need a visa to transit through france though? I have had layovers severally in france without it.
Also, i know that you will only need a visa if you are transiting through 2 EU countries. E.g Lagos to Amsterdam to paris to london, since both Amsterdam and paris are inside EU coutries, that is when you will need a visa. But as long as you are only crossing 1 EU country, you do not need a visa as far as i know (Also as long as you will not be leaving the airport obviously)

Pls you are reporting old news. You can not use Air France or klm from Nigeria to UK without the Schenghen visa— or Japan,USA,Canada—things have changed in the last 2 years. 1 stop or 10 stops—- doesn’t matter.

Hello Everyone,
Today makes it 15working days after i completed my biometric, however instead of being notified of the decision, I got this email

"Regarding your visa application we are unable to make a decision on your application within published visa processing times.Do not contact UK Visa and Immigration, we will contact you if we require more information. Please be assured that we will continue to progress your application to make a decision as soon as possible."

Please what does this imply as I need to travel on or before June 4 for a Medical exam in the UK? Beyond this date the Visa is of no use

Funny, got a response last night and it's laughable.

The first reason is my dads address and I do not live with him anymore since I opened the account when I got into the university and graduated already, also my dads address was clearly filled in the form for family.

The second reason I do not understand because I have been saving for a long time and when GTBank moved their CBS redeposited my money that's why the opening balance is high, not even for the UK, opening balance is money that you have saved till the point the bank statement started. Plus, I was even transacting on the account and the remaining balance was about 3.5KGBP and I said I had 5K GBP in savings so included my salary account statement which had $6K and clearly shows my salary coming in and transaction made as well.

I even included different pictures of me and my dad, family (even picture with my aunt that invited me we took when she was in nigeria) also me at my work place because I still traveled there this year.

Just received from GiG, 6 months visa issued for a family of 3, first time applicant

We are suffering in this country oo. Passport privilege is REAL.
My 2 year old son is a Canadian passport holder. He didn't have to apply for a UK visa with me, my wife and daughter and be queuing for biometrics at VFS. But I found out we still needed for apply for ETA for him, it says it takes 3 working days on their website and could sometimes take longer. I applied today which is a Sunday and i was hoping by end of the week at least we should get a response, only for me to apply and get approved in literally 10 seconds, before i could finish reading the payment successful message and close the tab, the approval email dropped. The worst part is, the approval was automated, nobody had to check the information i even provided.

I can rant about this for ten days continuous 😂😂😂😂😂. I did same for mine too it came immediately for my daughter. Funny thing even some people with guayana passport they have visa free travel here for six months and they also now need ETA and it’s same swift approval for them. God help us with green passport

- Evidence of employment like employment letter & payslips.

- Evidence of funds

- Documents to show home ties

- Evidence of family ties

- Other documents that you feel might help your application

Above all, try as much as possible to convince the ECO (visa officer) that you are a legitimate traveler and that you will return home at the end of your itinerary.

Pls for those who have done biometric since inception of u k VFS global,what are the things you took alone for your biometric after self uploading of all your documents for visit visa?

My own is in two weeks time I want to no exact thing I will take alone after self uploading of documents

I guess that of Guyana is new because I recall that my friend was unable to attend his junior sister's wedding in Canada in 2016 due to visa problems.
