It's a private thing, I'm not painting her bad. But I've told her I'll work on it, she just talked about it last week. So it's not what I can change overnight.

Maybe work on that thing instead of focusing on getting married next year. She said she wants to stay with you but she's not sure about marriage just yet due to the "thing" you need to change.

In what ways have you changed? Why leave them out of your post? You've described her with good qualities but aren't honest about yours, which I'll assume aren't great for you to have withheld them from your post and for her to be thinking twice about marrying you. Perhaps she shared those things with her Dad and that's why he doesn't support you marrying her, so the question should be if YOU are worth marrying because her concerns seem to be legit. Work on her concerns and change for the better.
