What does prayer has to do with a prosperous marriage? Pastor Chris of Christ embassy church in Nigeria still got divorced despite being a prayerful man.

That should tell you that prayer alone can't save any marriage.

Not really, but marriage tends to push men to hustle harder due to the increase in necessities that accompany marital life, especially when children are involved.

So a typical nonchalant young bachelor (Monday) gets married to a young lady (Joy). Less than one year into their marriage, Joy drops her first issue. A few more years to come, more kids add up to the young family. Suddenly, Monday now has to take responsibility for 4-5 persons and he hustles harder to that effect. He loses his former nonchalant self and becomes more intentional with his finances. If he gets successful, some people might tag his success to marital “grace”. But if he succumbs to the added marital pressure, the marriage is tagged as “bad luck”.
