Mount played well today. Offered more stability offensively and defensively , way better than whatever Garnacho did. He was more matured too.

Better touch. Yes.
Better movement. Yes.
Better reading of the game. Yes again.
Better finishing. Absolutely.

At this point, it’s only logical that Obi replaces Hojlund in the pecking order— if the workload won’t be too much for him.

His first goal is a proper 9-in-the-box goal. I haven’t seen Hojludn do that in a while. He also read the game well for the second goal.

Shame they didn’t register him for Europa. He could’ve made a difference in that final.

Ultimately, we just need to keep building up these young talents.
They have to make a very crucial decision next season on what to do with him cos he needs game time to develop. He is only 17 so does he play another Under-21 season and get minutes here and there with the senior team or does he go on loan? What they must not do though is repeat the last 3 months of this season whereby he was just sitting on the first team bench and was not playing regular youth game either.

Against Hong Kong players? He was rubbish just a few days ago when we needed him in the Europa Final against real opposition.
Yes he was rubbish in the Europa final. Want am trying to say is that his football is now showing in the team. Since we signed him it is now we are getting to see active play since two years. Before he looked like empty shell

Yea that was one of the reason he started the final. If he has been contributing for upto 5 months straight, he would have been more shaper in the final.

Oh ok. Yeah he now looks a bit serviceable compared to earlier last season and even this season.
However, he still needs to kick on next season and do more. He wears our No 7 shirt and cost 50m.

That will depend totally on the transfer market and how many attackers we manage to sign.

If he’s going to be surplus to requirements, a good loan move would be the best for him IMHO.

This friendlies has shown that in all that getting, getting a top 9 that all he thinks is goals is the top most priority.

No doubt about that. Maybe he could step up should Bruno leave.

That's why I kept saying our situation demanded we used those boys.

Some barca young boys came to rescue when they had financial crisis. We have to find a way to do it well. Tough times calls for tough decisions.

Hojlund is all over the place. Maybe he needs proper bench time to regain his senses. He just plays rubbish every time, focusing on unimportant issues like fighting defenders, and when it’s time to score, he falls flat on his face.
I don't know what went wrong with him. Thought he would improve on last season's person but he badly regressed.

He should go for deep reflection and find himself.

I wanted Amorim to play him and other yoot players more in the final games of the season since relegation was no longer a possibility, but Oasis said the yoots are not good enough. United needed to buy players in April before we can rest the so called rubbish senior players for important Europa matches....
grin

.....honestly its for the protection of the lads. They don't really need the pressure at the time cos it can affect their talents and morale.

I am glad they did great in the 2nd half of the match - all the kids plus heaven and amad. Let's see what's they've got in the pre-season.

BTW......I want Bruno Fernandes sold. We need the money more than we need him.

This Kone dude looks like a good DM, he should be first team player and even starter next season...

I really don't have anyone in mind but definitely not Mbuemo. Mbuemo is not going to elevate our attack to compete with the big boys
There's no big team Mbeumo and Wissa did not trouble this past season. In fact, after Tony left, Mbeumo stepped up big time, he is very good with the ball at his feet, whether holding the ball and bringing others into play or creating chances or taking them...I wouldn't mind if he is signed, he is a very good player.

Honestly it will be hard to replace our best player oo. His creativity and goal contribution needs to matched or improved else na certain relegation we dey face like this.
It seems like Amorim doesn't want him to leave but ;

• INEOS is making it clear that any player can be sold if the club gets a good offer.
• Amorim only "feels" Bruno wants to stay but he isn't 100% sure.

If he is eventually sold, I really hope we get the right replacement because despite his "struggles", his impressive stats tell a different story like you rightly pointed out.

The replacement might not necessarily be a Bruno replica but it would mean that other players would need to really step up
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 10:26pm On May 30, 2025
......Today's match proves that Amorim, his tactics, and formations ain't the problem but the so-called senior players.

The younger players displayed excellent football in the second half. They pressed aggressively, maintaining a high line, and didn’t treat the ball like an egg.

Their ability to switch play seamlessly from one side to the other was impressive, and Obi demonstrated why Højlund should be sold by next week.

Next season, we don’t need a bloated squad, hence it’s time to part ways with the so-called senior players.

Sell Casemiro, Licha, Onana, Shaw, Maguire and Bruno to Saudi Arabian clubs. These transfers could potentially fetch around £240m.

Sell Garnacho, Højlund, and Zirkzee to Serie A clubs, which could bring in another £120m. Sell Antony to Real Betis for £40m.

In summary, we could raise £400m by selling these players, especially Bruno and Garnacho. Frankly, I’m tired of Bruno’s "bollywood" passes and Garnacho’s persistent immaturity.

You must think the Saudi guys don't have internet or access to cable TV...Licha won't be sold, his injury record means very few clubs will want to take the risk signing him...

Casemiro and Bruno (especially Bruno) can fetch us good money, so we must decide whether to deal or not (I personally think it's the right time to cash in on the duo)...Shaw and Maguire are your typical English footballers, they'll likely end up at West Ham/Palace/Everton...

I agree Garnacho can fetch us good money but not Hojlund, we will record serious losses if we sell him now, so the best option is to loan him out to a club where the pressure is not too much and hope he develops there, then we can bring him back or deal on him.

I hope Cunha wont be another one of those players that forgets how to play football once he gets here. God abeg! 🤲🏼
This is the main reason I don't get hyped for any player's transfer until I see them play for us.

Case study being Scamcho

......English Players ain't longer afraid of playing abroad bro. Henderson, Walker, Kane and co left the country to play abroad.

Maguire, Shaw are closer to retirement than retirement close to them - hence they should be aiming for the bulks next season. LOL!

Licha can actually get suitors too in Saudi Arabia. Højlund?! Any amount any club offers, we should jejely collect it. Loaning him won't do us any favour.

Chelsea are likely to return Sancho back to us cos mumu failed to impress them. Thanks to Antony that did well at Betis, at least dude gonna fetch us something good.

Some of our fans are our problem and its affecting us a club. For me I will rather we cash out on Bruno and used the funds to get two or more players.

Aston Villa sold grealish and became a better team

Liverpool sold coutinho and became a better team

I will rather we sell him, its the right thing to do considering he’s almost 31 and getting such money off him.

I understand your point but PSG did not sell Mbappe neither did Barcelona sell Messi...

I will also accept a bid in excess of 100m for Bruno...That money can get us Gyokeres and with more outgoings, we can comfortably replace Bruno and get in other quality replacements.

See me see question. Liverpool are close to signing Wirtz, Man City are pushing for Reijnders, deals are happening but when it comes to Man Utd, you begin to see fans ask this silly question...
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 11:47am On May 31, 2025
Bruno does not even have a place in the current set-up; the left and right attacking midfielders behind the striker have to be players who are good on the ball and can take on the opponent without losing the ball at the slightest bit, only to begin complaining afterwards...

We should be looking for proper midfielders as Bruno has shown he can't play in a midfield two neither can he function as one of the inverted forwards cum AMFs...
