CrystalTiger:We definitely need some better players but if we are really going to compete for major trophies again, there needs to be a drastic shift in mentality at United. See how Dembele, Doue and Kvara were chasing ball at 4-0 up. Rashford, Garnacho and Hojlund would have been moseying about on the pitch like it was a privilege for them to be in a final |

I still have and will always have reservations about any formation that starts with 3 at the back. ![]() |

Vitinha was here at Wolves on loan, Couldn’t get into the Wolves starting XI. Nobody signed him. He returned to Porto, nobody noticed him. PSG signed him, nobody noticed. That guy Vitinha is the best midfielder in the world. |

Inter were always going to struggle...Barcelona should have knocked them out but that's football... Now, for those who keep asking if there's any player out there who can replace the ones we have, PSG brought in Pacho from Eintracht Frankfurt, Duoe from Rennes, Neves from Benfica, Kvara from Napoli and look how they have gone on to dominate Europe. Save for Kvara, the rest were not so popular...In fact, 80% of the players in their squad were well-scouted, not the biggest names but efficient footballers... They quickly shifted from going after big names to recruiting technical yet hardworking players...We don't need the big names, just go out there and sign players who are comfortable on the ball and are ready to work hard...It is not that difficult... |

patrickmuf:Yet when we were scouting Delap for cheap everyone was shouting and screaming for the big names (Osimhen and Gyokeres). We the fans are not yet ready. |

We would have been seeing "see Inter winning trophies with a 3ATB formation but United fans tell me it won't work" all over the TL tonight. A 3ATB formation lives and dies by its WBs so any opposition with elite level wingers would kill it any day. The deadlier the wingers, the more pinned back the WBs get and you become effectively toothless Copied from Twitter |

patrickmuf:You seems to forget Vitinha from Porto. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 10:46pm On May 31, 2025 |
CapitalCee:I just focused on the recent additions. Vitinha, the one who was deemed not good enough by Wolves; Ruiz, from Napoli; Mendes, from Sporting; Marquinhos from Roma; Dembele, from Barcelona...Just good to very good players who are all very comfortable in the ball and workaholics...Our fans will protest if we are linked to players in those clubs... We really need to stop throwing cash around. They are quality players around, just the right profiling and negotiations, and we can have this team sorted in at least two transfer windows. |

spillo1:I prefer Gyokeres but I was not against the signing of Delap...It's just that I don't like it when fans try to paint different pictures when players we are rumored to be after join our rivals...On the financial side, I don't think Delapfor 30m is a bad deal. |

Jamiuokolaa:Didn't Yoro opt against joining Madrid to join us? What changed? Did it mean Madrid could not attract quality players or that players were rejecting them? It's football, it's normal... |

To be sincere, something is seriously wrong with manutd. If na human being Man-u be, I for talk say na village people dey worry them. When Chelsea finished 14th some years back, I can remember the speed at which players were offloaded. I can remember the jorginhos and mount sold for big money. But e don reach manutd turn, dem still dey negotiate. Collect that 100 million, 60 million, whatever million and invest in young players. The next season is already over (I pity anyone that is optimistic about next season). Why not take the risks and do it quickly. Obviously, manutd's owners are not football people, that's why we lost delap to Chelsea. And even the Cunha is delaying because I won't be surprised if he ended up in another club too. This club is a joke. Imagine negotiating with deadwoods who just had the worst season since 1900. Tufiakwa. I spit on the life of whoever did this to my darling club. |

BARAJ92:, I have given it a thought, too. Dembele was injury-prone at Barca. Is it down to the medic, or was he faking the injuries at Barcelona? I can't tell... |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 7:21am On Jun 01, 2025 |
patrickmuf:Lifestyle changes and maturity. Dembele was notorious for poor diet, coming late or not showing up for training, staying up late at night playing video games etc. The injuries have affected him physically in a way as he is not as explosive as he once was but his decision making is so much better now. |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 7:31am On Jun 01, 2025 |
adebayo201:Hopefully it’s not too late for him. He is 25 now which is around the age that Dembele saw the light. Funnily enough, Sancho practically replaced Dembele at Dortmund. Dortmund management and coaching staff must have suffered. |

Ellexy:No one? Okay apologies? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 7:40am On Jun 01, 2025 |
Lana1:A major issue we have is the mentality. Different coaches have tried to improve the mentality but it's not working, that's why I want most of these players gone. They go elsewhere and start running up and down, but fail to do that here. They're too comfortable here. I remember a goal we conceded last season where instead of the players chasing down an opponent to stop him from crossing and eliminating any danger first, about three of them decided to stop playing and raise their hands, calling for a foul. We conceded from that cross. That's not a technical or formation problem. It's simple mentality |
