Nawa and they approved it.

Congratulations.

I have always thought the applicant must submit his or her bank statement whether there's a sponsor or not.

Like they usually say, each application is judged on it's own merit.
Just hope a reasonable officer reviews your application; two people can submit exactly the same application, and one may be approved while the other is not.

I did my biometrics on the 20th of may at Ikeja. I got an email today stating that I should submit additional documents.
You're fortunate; submit the additional documents as soon as possible. Some impatient officers may deny your application outright instead of asking for additional documents.

GudluckIBB:
Thank you, @Milito.

I mentioned in the cover letter and stated that i travelled and came bac within 3 days.
I believe the ECO may not have reviewed the information thoroughly before making the decision.

Will this refusal affect future applications to other Schengen countries?

Thank you once again.
I have also sent you a private message.
I doubt it will affect other future Schengen applications. Despite that some of these countries share information behind the curtain, Schengen applications are a bit more tempered. There's even no part of the form they ask for previous visa refusals.

But this may negatively influence future UK applications. That was why I suggested you guys should take the planned trip to a Schengen country. Those UK guys are too mechanical.

If you and your spouse have a stable job and good account you'll get the Schenghen visa.

Yes, it could be up to a month sometimes. However, I would suggest that you mail the home office to expedite your refund.

Sorry for the delay.
Thank you so much for your response I will do as you say

VISA ALERT

My mum 6 months visit visa approved (first time traveller)

Biometrics done 8th of May and passport returned May 30th.

Document submitted;
Sponsor’s statement of account
Sponsor’s prove of employment/income
My tenancy agreement
Letter of invitation
My mum business CAC active
Mum business pictures
Her sales invoice
Family photos with my siblings myself and my wife
My birth certificate and siblings birth certificate
Siblings passport data page
My Wife MATB1 certificate (prove of pregnancy) as the main reason for the invite is to come help with our expected baby.
My mum landed properly document
My data page and my wife’s data page
My E Visa and wife’s E visa
I didn’t submit her personal and business bank statement as it was not in order and didn’t want to risk that being the reason for refusal and I was fully sponsoring the whole trip.
Helping with childbirth (baby delivery) is a credible, family-based reason, supported by:

Wife’s MATB1 Certificate (UK pregnancy proof)
Family documents & photos
This makes the purpose of the visit genuine, time-limited, and emotionally logical.

It’s time-limited, emotionally understandable, and credible.
UKVI tends to respect compassionate and temporary family-related reasons.

Even without bank statements, her mum showed:

Active business CAC
Business pictures
Sales invoices
Landed property
Children/siblings in Nigeria
These are strong non-financial ties proving she’s coming back home.

I'm really super curious on what could be the reason a priority visit VIsa is being delayed for 10working days now. Anyone with past experiences?

Was escalated last Wednesday and was told today after another call that nothing can be done until 15days after escalation if no update is received so I just have to wait. Hmmm.

Hello everyone.

Do we think VFS will honour appointments scheduled for Friday in view of the Public Holiday?

I checked their site and it was only Monday they stated they would be closed.

Any idea anyone?

I just got a denial response this night and the denial doesn’t make sense at all
I put my kids birth certificate and marriage certificate, the company’s website is done but the cac is active and we have a function instagram page. Can I appeal the decision

The decision
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph(s) V4.2 of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for Visitors because: •
• You have applied to travel to the UK for a period of 4 days for the purpose of attending your sister's graduation. I have acknowledged that your sponsor is willing to provide adequate support for a limited visit to the United Kingdom; however, it is your circumstances and intentions which are paramount in assessing your application.
• You state that you are employed earning a monthly income of GHS 25,858.00-(£1,361.51 Oanda.com as on the 29/09/2024).
• You state that you have a husband and children in Nigeria. However, your family's wider social and economic circumstances are not demonstrated for me to be satisfied that visit is credible in relation to your wider circumstances in Nigeria.
• I have considered the various information submitted along with your application. I note that vou stated vou are employed with (JUST PAINT LTD), and I carried open-source checks, to which your company has no online presence. As such this casts doubt as to whether you are employed as stated and whether the declarations made in your visa application form are a reliable reflection of your current circumstances in your country of residence. As such, I am not satisfied that you have provided a reliable portrayal of your current personal circumstances nor satisfied that your intentions to visit the UK are as stated and that you will leave at the end of your visit.
In the light of above, I am not satisfied that your personal and financial circumstances are as stated by you. I am therefore not satisfied that you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit and that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor.

Good evening house, I just received this refusal letter
And I’ll like you guys input/opinions

This is a case that is perfect for a complaint. The very fact that they quoted Ghana Cedis instead of Naira is enough to conclude that your application was handled by an incompetent ECO.

Your company is active on CAC, and you have an Instagram page, yet they claimed “your company has no online presence.” Another factually incorrect statement. LOL.

Write a strongly-worded email to complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk ASAP. Be firm but respectful with your words. This application was clearly mishandled, and they must have a relook at it. Even if they are going to deny the application, they should at least give reasons that make sense.

Let us know how it goes, if you feel like.

Visitor's visas are not eligible for appeal as stated on the refusal letter. But a complaint can be lodged or judicial review requested if you feel significant errors were made.

The ECO was probably unable to profile your personal and family economic circumstances and took the easy way out to refuse than risk it.

More information is needed to be able to have an idea of what was presented and relate it to this refusal.
What financials did you put on the application? Are you sponsoring your self fully or a part sponsor. Did you put family pictures of your immediate family? And also with that of your sister and wider family? Landed property? Any travel history to demonstrate some economic stability? Is your employer a stable, well known and large organisation that you'll think twice before abandoning the job?

Your monthly pay if converted to naira, does it equal the GBP amount stated on the letter? The ECOs usually do a lot of copy and paste of the refusal note of the applications they are handling and must have mistakenly pasted the financial of another application on your own refusal letter. Unfortunately, this may not have any significant effect on the substance of the refusal. The decision has been made before this copy and paste. If queried, the right one will be fished out and put there. It's just a clerical error.

The other reference to your workplace in my own opinion is just fishing around for more excuse. I'd want to believe the main reason for the denial is not stated here, but maybe in their private notes. Vague denials like this are usually difficult to challenge.

Not trying to discourage you, just analysing based on what I've seen in the past. If challenged, they may correct the error in the currency and revert back with same decision. But its worth a try.

They believe you have more incentive to stay over there with your lover than return here. As you can earn far more over there on a monthly basis doing petty jobs than what you are earning here with reference to your stated incomes. And being with your lover is an added benefit. For Oyinbo mind, as an adult, love love things has a stronger hold and pull on you than family.
