Initially, I wanted to start youtube content creation (like posting pix of night life in different parts of my state) but I don't know if I can do it with only my phone camera or I'll be needing a gopro camera..


However, I want a skill that i can easily learn from now to December and be getting paid in dollas.. I want to be financially free soonest..

I have enough time and data to learn whatever valuable skill you may suggest.. i just need guidance on which path (skill) to follow (learn)

We live in strange times, my friend.

Things (online things) don't just catch on these days because you're:
1. At the mercy of algorithms (this is why your chances are super slim from making it as a content creator)

2. At the mercy of Indians willing to work $100 job for just $0.25

And even if you start up a business (physical business) —I'm not here to demoralize you—but there's a 90% chance it'll fail, especially in Nigeria.

I've been a computer programmer for like a decade an half, and I've also been a freelance writer. But I can't even tell you to "learn to code" or learn how to write anymore. Freelance writing peaked in 2021. It's toast now. I've dropped that because all my current platforms that paid serious money back in the day...no work anymore. It's either AI or Indians, I'm sure.

What is saving me right now is that I'm a programmer, and I'm creative. I have several services running online where users subscribe (NOTE that my profit isn't coming from stupid shiiiit like Adsence/mob. It's from actual subscribers). As bad as things are, there are still innumerable things humans haven't come up with if you think about it. If you're creative (as in think shiiiit out of nothing), then I'll advise you to LEARN HOW TO BUILD Stuff, and put out there for people to buy. Even that is not a guarantee as I've noticed people are more stingy with their money these days. Can you blame them?

In summary, everything is toast! Especially all those online things like Amazon-[insert whatever name here] (yeah, they have a handful of services that people are supposed to earn from).

I don't want to type too long so as not to risk talking plenty without saying anything, but then, based on what you are familiar with:

1. Content creation — you'll have to think real hard and come up with some interesting niche like doing something funny, but then one day, it's more likely that the platform's (E.g., TikTok) algorithms will just throw you into the pit and give you depression.

2. Freelancing. Seriously, all the legit platforms I know of no longer pay. And I know a handful.

Advise: sorry, question: Are you willing to learning physical stuff, or must it be an online skill?

BOTTOM LINE: It's not about what you learn/know. It's about how creative you are with it—as in doing the things you currently know but in a different way.

In addition to my post above 👆, here's one secret if you want to do content creation:

1. Log in to several social media and notice what is trending
2. Also use other people's accounts/devices and notice what they like watching
3. Write down what is common with all the content they consume (not only common content but technical aspects like the environment they shot the content, and the transitions they used, the genre of the soundtracks of any, etc)
4. WRITE DOWN these observations for several months.

Trends change, but in the end, they're all connected. Pick the connecting link between the trends (even the forgotten ones), and build your own content around that not-so-obvious link you must have discovered by the end of this experiment.

Fist of all,I just have to say,you have brilliant ideas but you have to be careful how you spew them publicly because there are characters like me in the world who would either steal/remix your ideas for themselves.

Pertaining to the Amazon kdp issue,you just started a month ago,made zero sales and you want to abandon it just like that?What happened to PERSISTENCE & CONSISTENCY? Becoming successful at any endeavour isn't a one month task,it takes months & months & months even years sometimes.

The YouTube nightlife channel is also a great idea but to become successful on that platform,you have to be,you guessed it,CONSISTENT with daily/weekly uploads.If you don't have a GoPro,get a shirt with a breast pocket,put your phone there and walk around recording as much as you desire.Virtually all phones nowadays have good video recorders.My suggestion is for you to make 5minutes videos and post part 1 to 5 at thesame time,then post the 6th part a week later and so on.Editing is paramount so,do not post a 5minute video with 4minutes of it being of you in a bus going to a different location.
