I just finished renovation of a carcass 3 bedroom structure. It wasn't funny. The kind of thieves you will encounter once you say "building" ehn... you will think you committed an offence and they were sent to defraud you as punishment.

Basically, if you want to build, buy everything yourself. Negotiate with a passion. Distrust everyone. Supervise everything.

How much was the three bedroom of something like this ..

The house the op posted is a low cost building. What you’re adding is an extra room and toilet to what is up there. The cost is not as you all think when you’re fully involved in the building process.

This building may consume 800-900 blocks.
And if you are moulding, consider 50 bags of cement, and four trip of sand to get 900 blocks.
500k is gone already.

I would say 1.5M if you the builder put in some work.

1.5 can't do anything.
U need nothing less than 3million to erect this, that is assuming u have land already

500k cannot build that house in any location in Nigeria. You will need around 2 million naira to buy blocks alone.

No be every building require German floor ... it the land that will dictate such for you ... just because everyone are into it never make it compulsory .... just like I say the type of land you have will determine is German floor is needed or not

I make use of local stone dust .... not granite because we have it much and cheap in that area

If the olden days whey be say mud from base to the top no dey soak so how come mine.... no dey build on paper build it first.... you just want to argue you no dey read no be everyone have land on water or erosion or damp area some have it in a more dry land .... how many house for Northern part of Nigeria have a German floor ?? Spend as you like if you wan build your own My dad building no Get German floor and this is it 35 years still standing ..... naa inside German floor you wan sleep ....
The building in question is not different from 2 shop been erected beside a road .... so tell me how much will that one German floor will cost

What OP meant is that instead of paying 500k yearly if you find a way to gather 10-15 years rent money, you can erect such a structure.

The truth is, most of those who can quite easily afford to build a house like that, would rather live in a rented apartment.
