If you prefer the Fulani tribe, then that's good... But please don't project your preferences on others... There are different strokes for different folks. This is not a competition. richmond500: |

I love plateau people, especially the Berom tribe. They're very hospitable and I readily feel at home with them. Yoruba too are great guys and aside the internet banters with my tribe's people, they're nice. I also like Idoma people because they are my nextdoor neighbours Edo guys too are great guys mostly |

What's the meaning of the name Musa there in Nigeria? Because it's like it's also common there. Here in SA it's a Zulu name which means "Mercy" in English. musa234: |

Creating this thread was really thoughtful of you, Samantha125. I would really love more persons to respond so as to give us some fresh air, from the toxic vibes we experience regularly on nairaland. Back to your question, I love the Hausas for their sincerity and simplicity. I also love the Igede people from Benue state. The ones I have encountered have really been good. |

Chances are it won't, I once opened a similar thread on politics section and it got deleted within few hours... I was pissed but powerless, so I just kept quiet because I already knew the root of the problem... And the thread was doing just fine without any banters. mekus15: |

Samantha125:That is quite sad. This is one thread that could help us appreciate one another. I was expecting that people would flood this thread with positive comments for one another, with same energy they use in attacking each other's tribe. It's well. |

Bahamas95:From a non nigerian mans view, thats lived around you most of his life In my own country Norway My dad's families country Sweden In my mother's families country Denmark In the UK And here longer than the other 4 Purely from a marriage perspective and being accepted for who you are and welcomed for who you are 1) is not strictly true Yoruba people are fun to be around and throw wonderful parties, the women are loving and loyal if treated right But the families are controlling in the wedding process and simply are not respectful at all in 1 area They will not automatically respect the grooms wishes around prostration and will use pressure to push him into it or force him into it and if a man does get them to understand hes not doing it the family will expect him to put on grand display of offering at his own wedding and dont understand they have no automatic right to any of it unless a groom is Yoruba himself Respect goes both ways its not 1 sided like they expect in weddings now understand im not being abusive, just expressing my personal perspective from my experience and from watching friends having to walk away from great women over it Now from my perspective as dating from almost all tribes Esan women are absolutely adorable When you upset one and she shouts your name in anger its an instant 🍆 that accent is sweet but the families tend to be rigid with what they want over anything Bini women are hard to get on with mainly because so many were put through fgm and are carrying the trauma of what their families did to them and its heartbreaking watching them when they research reconstruction surgery if its stage 2 or 3 because alot think about it But my personal favourite is igbo simply they are the most open minded to blended weddings 50% the brides culture and 50% the grooms and most families wont argue about it They are most open to a man wanting to be part of the family and not the tribe But saying that imo igbo tend to have the same attitude to traditions as yoruba And again im not being abusive, just my personal experience, there flaws in all people even mine |

Yoruba Tribe. Yoruba people are cheerful people – They give a lot. In my University days, my friend was from Yoruba. She was very friendly and we got really close. My husband's Mum keeps sending me different gifts. My husband is no exception His sister in Kuwait practically placed me on monthly salary. This is what I call excess love. |

1. Hausa: My reason is they are very co-operative and they help one another in jobs and political offices. 2. Yoruba : My reason is their food and co-operation in terms of giving of jobs to their fellow tribe. |
