When I read comments at times I will just laugh, what makes you people think he will not win? Some says that the little fame he has had enter his head. When you people keep discouraging others to perform their civic responsibilities as a citizen irrespective of how shambles our politics is in this country how much more will the people in diaspora have trust and believe in the system, how did things want to change in Nigeria 🇳🇬, if you know you are a coward don't discuss politics, leave politics for those that are bold.

Hmmmm!

I love as you cited example, but Ibadan politics is somehow

The agidigbo guy is very popular amongst local women mainly in Ibadan
The December incident at islamic has eroded his popularity too
I don't if Ibadan elites like him too

I can beat aspirants like adelabu, people has seen dem like maga

If tegbe had not crossed Sha

Let him start from senate first sha
I respond to civil comments only and yours is one. As you know, Ibadan is just the state capital. Adelabu may pull more crowd than him. Good luck to them

True but Seyi was still very popular, even at the time when he was losing elections. Elections were massively rigged in favour of ajimobi as orchestrated by Tinubu. After ajimobi's tenure, seyi contested again and oyo people did the needful, even beyond his previous record. Tinubu kept vigil in Ibadan, he deployed his thugs to kidnap seyi overnight, ahead of the inec's declaration. The Ibadan boys got the information much earlier and cordoned off the entry and exit points of the streets leading to Seyi Makinde's residence at orita basorun.

He was inside. His mum was shouting seyiiii, but I warned you not to do politics ooo. What else are you looking fooor. The boys said he shouldn't worry and told mama to also calm down. Those thugs came in buses in the middle of the night but oyo youths repelled them and kept vigil overnight. That was what saved seyi. He'd have been kidnapped and forced to sign an agreement saying he's not interested in elections anymore for the sake of his life and children's. They'd now declare oyo elections inconclusive in places where seyi had won massively and rig it in favour of the apc. Yoruba adage would say, aseni nse ara rę(which literally means, you may think you're hurting somebody, not knowing you're hurting yourself) . Same seyi made his winning in oyo as president possible. LP or the PDP wouid have win oyo in 2023 cos he's not popular there . Seyi became a veritable tool for him.

Tinubu threatened my uncle by the name Aeroland too in alimosho. His sins are much here and a good reason he'll always lose here. My uncle won the federal house of reps seat. He had been known for his community-based projects even without interest in politics. He sank many boreholes, erected street lights and people said, he should please run , so he could do more at the federal level, the offer he first rejected but later accepted. After winning as pdp man, Tinubu sent his people to meet him. He gave him an open cheque which he rejected. He sent another batch threatening him and family, should he remained adamant. The man consulted with stakeholders in alimosho that politics isn't by force, that they should pls allow him step down and Tinubu had hus way.
Hmmmm! We are just deceiving ourselves in this country that we're doing election.
You see how dirty the Nigerian politics is? How do we want to develop as a nation when leaders are elected this way? I shake my head for this country! Omashe o

Oriyomi is a big political force to reckon with. What catch me much is he's much current and steady in the grassroot level. The market women and men that have voters card want him in power same way the Okada man and keke drivers want him to be in power. Oriyomi is very strong politically.
Lol so for this country na okada men and market women dey decide who to be in power. You better be careful..

Gov Seyi wasn't very popular before he became Governor. If he contests under the PDP, he will win. I don’t really care that much, but based on what Seyi has done, I’m confident. It’s better they vote for someone like Oriyomi instead of that Power Minister.

When you're done deceiving yourself and trying to convince Oriyomi, let us know.
Let me start with a simple question: would you vote for him?

Governance is far more than mediating petty disputes aired by a few uninformed voices on a radio show. Beyond a handful of supporters, mostly from Ibadan and driven by narrow religious sentiment, there's hardly any widespread support for Oriyomi. I repeat: very few people would actually vote for him right now.

Now, to be clear, Oriyomi seems like a genuinely good person—at least from what we see on camera. I can’t speak to his off-camera persona. However, if he were more strategic, I believe he could one day become a serious contender for governor. Why? Because the good man narrative tends to gain traction over time, especially when it’s backed by consistent public engagement and visibility.

If he truly has political ambitions, his best starting point would be a seat in the House of Representatives. That platform could give him the opportunity to drive meaningful reforms and advocate for the underserved, across all communities—not just a select few with religious bias parked outside a radio station.

Success at that level would naturally build credibility and momentum. By the time he's ready to run for governor, the goodwill he earns and the media influence of his radio platform would speak powerfully in his favor.

But for now, it’s not his time.

At this moment, I see Teslim Folarin winning based on the political experience and structure he has built over the years. As for Adelabu, Remi Oseni, and the others, they're frankly wasting their time in this race.

Factcheck0001:
What I see about the whole thing is that he's not contesting but just want to make billions from politicians.

This is how it is done, he will paste posters n show interest n when it's few months to election the money bags will come n tell him to name his price n collapse his structure into their own n campaign for them.

By so doing he will collect huge money from them n once they win he will make huge bar again
You've stay this domain for long to reach this undeniable fact

God bless you sir

Elections is not based on sentiments.

He might be popular on the streets, known by the people and have a cult-like following. But does he has the 20/25bn Naira to spend (in Ali Baba's words) to enter Agodi Househuh or will the Oyo North/Central Senatorial District Coalition fold their hands to allow another Ibadan boy to be their Governor againhuh
Its Ibadan that determines who becomes governor. So they can't stop an Ibadan man whether they fold their hands or not

u just talk rubbish full ground.

I believe u are yarning your beer parlour gist here, I b full Ibadan boy n I full ground for the election.

Tinubu wasn't even involved in the election n it was not even seyi makinde popularity that won him the election.

It was just revenge vote by the angry masses, they didn't vote to support seyi makinde but they all voted against ajimobi who brought penkelemess.

Tinubu made it clear he doesn't want adelabu to contest election in oyo cos he himself knew ajimobi have messed up with uncouth utterances n useless words without caution.

We were outside till after 2 in d midnight that the election was counted n seyi was declared as governor.

Stop your beer parlor discussion, tinubu doesn't have a hand in oyo election.

It was ajimobi that messed up n people angrily voted against his candidate, if u recall events prior to the election tinubu came to Ibadan n raised teslim folarin hand but ajimobi can't work with folarin cos folarin is not a puppet but also a strong man.

That was d main reason adelabu was compensated as minister.

So lock up with your beer parlor gist, I was there live n direct
There is beer parlour gist in your post as well. Ajimobi actually wanted shittu not adelabu
Adelabu is tinubus boy so it was tinubu that persuaded ajimobi to nominate adelabu
