What did OKC put in that rim wey ball refuse to enter for Pacers Mathurin don turn Ben Wallace. This is quite pathetic |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 2:46am On Jun 17, 2025 |
The Pacers have to improve their perimeter defense, they are getting smoked. They look overwhelmed and need this halftime. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 3:06am On Jun 17, 2025 |
Make that 12 TOs for the Pacers. Carlisle needs to stay with Turner for a little bit more. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 3:25am On Jun 17, 2025 |
Jalen Williams has been the best player tonight for the Thunder. He needs to do enough for SGA to take over |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:27am On Jun 17, 2025 |
TJ McConnell his backup has scored more points in 60 seconds than Halibooty this entire game. All of you that were arguing he was MVP whatever last round need to come and apologize. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by afrodoc2: 3:38am On Jun 17, 2025 |
Someone will now call this Halibozo a superstar now. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by afrodoc2: 3:41am On Jun 17, 2025 |
Roland17:They need their "superstar" PG with the loudmouth dad to score 10 points first. He is currently the 8th highest scorer in the team in this game. Many teams do not go more than 8 men deep in their rotations at this point. |

One backcourt has combined for 57 pts another one is combining for 9 ![]() |

Halibooty and Nembhard ought to be ashamed of themselves |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Ridwan1821: 4:15am On Jun 17, 2025 |
This is the kind of situation I don't want them Pacers to get themselves into. I'm afraid OKC will take this series in 7 but I won't be surprised if they close out in Indianapolis next game. |

Jalen Williams has been terrific in this series. 93pts accumulated in the last 3 games. He reminds me of Kyrie Irving in the 2016 finals. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by afrodoc(m): 4:28am On Jun 17, 2025 |
User09:That is what happens when you are giving Robert Horry the hype of James Worthy. The guy went from being falsely overrated to being truly overrated, real quick. I wonder what Jay Williams will tell Stephen A now. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by afrodoc(m): 4:35am On Jun 17, 2025 |
Ridwan1821:He is averaging over 27 PPG while SGA is averaging over 32 PPG. Meanwhile Hali has been skirting the outer reaches of triple single territory in a number of games. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by User09: 4:35am On Jun 17, 2025 |
afrodoc:Calma Calma. He's playing hurt. He'll turn up the next game now and they'll be back comparing him to Prime CP3 & Westbrook. Person wey dey average 18 points

People were putting Halibooty in conversations he didn't belong and now his ass is showing on that Summer Jam screen. Seems the players were right after all. They always know something guys don't |

| Re: The NBA Begins by Kibbs(m): 1:42pm On Jun 17, 2025 |
I do not agree with Stephen A on a lot of things but one thing I very much agree with is Halibum is not a superstar. I’m not getting tickets worth hundreds of $ on a weekday or weekend to watch Halibum play. And when we mention his inconsistency, they defend him with ‘He’s a pass first player’ but that model of player isn’t leading his team to a ring. Steve Nash, John Stockton, J Kidd earlier in his career, and whoever you want to call couldn’t do it. Halibum ain’t doing it without upping his scoring and becoming more aggressive. He’s long and a good rim finisher so I’m baffled as to why he doesn’t drive more to the basket. It took until Game 4 for him to take his first and only free throws so far in the freaking NBA finals! Unless he consistently maintains that 20+ PPG level, to go with his distribution, he’s not ready so keep him out of those superstar convos. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 2:51am On Jun 18, 2025 |
Nobody is beating this Panthers team.. They're inevitable @Roland17 back to back is loading as Oilers have pretty much surrendered McDavid has to lose his best player in the world hype. He's been a disappointment this series |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 5:02am On Jun 18, 2025 |
A40:Extremely poor performance by McDavid. The Stanley Cup is the toughest title in American sport because you literally have to work hardest to win and the Oilers looked the same from last year. I don’t even know where they go from here with that roster. Congratulations to the Panthers, I am not surprised because I called it from game one. They are built for the long run and may be back here next season. They have a lot to do and the most important will be tying Marchand to a long term contract as he becomes an UFA. |

Wow! All of a sudden this seems like Haliburton diss thread. Like why are y'all going so hard on this dude for? who did he offend? He might not be a superstar but hes a star and that's just fine...jeeezz.. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Kibbs(m): 10:38pm On Jun 18, 2025 |
nomorespams:He just went 0/6 in the NBA finals as the supposed best player on the team. Wdym why are we going hard on him? If it was a Tatum or Brunson or Shai, you think he won’t get the same criticism? |
| Re: The NBA Begins by nomorespams: 11:18pm On Jun 18, 2025 |
Kibbs:My brother he was injured na ahan, at least put that into perspective.. When was the last time he had 0pts in a game? And I feel you guys aren't really appreciating this guy well...firstly he is a PASS FIRST guard!! He's not a natural scorer more like a natural playmaker..ditto CP3, Rondo, Trae...so expecting him to score bunches of points a game isn't his thing...if you want to go ham on him on anything then focus on his assists output or his team +- efficiency when he is on or off the court or how many 3pts attempts they make with or without him on the court.. For the past couple of years Hali has been in the top 3 assist chart! Does that seem like someone that's a bum?! Please let's be more introspective and focus less on the flashy sides...and the details don't lie. Hali on the court for Indy is a way better team than without him..who can we say that of on this team? Siakam maybe..but Hali is the best guy on that team and the numbers don't lie..so yeah but that's my take tho. Oh and yeah, i understand the criticism thing and I guess it's primarily cos we kinda do expect more from him considering he's a #1 option on an NBA team thats in the NBA FINALS! So I get where you guys are coming from , I just wanted y'all to see that it's not that gloomy for him. He will be better in years to come and am sure we will all attest to that. From the looks of things whether he plays or not tomorrow he won't be 100% fit so I guess it's fair to say no G7 even tho I think most neutrals would love that as well. Good input guys, let's keep it rolling. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Kibbs(m): 2:06pm On Jun 19, 2025 |
nomorespams:First, I didn’t dispel the credibility of his injury or anything like that. In that game though, TJ was having a better game and was sat in the fourth for him. Rick must’ve asked him if he could go before putting him on so yeah, he was injured but he still wanted to play and he did at the expense of a fitter TJ. You can’t eat your cake and have it. And I feel you guys aren't really appreciating this guy well...firstly he is a PASS FIRST guard!! He's not a natural scorer more like a natural playmaker..ditto CP3, Rondo, Trae...so expecting him to score bunches of points a game isn't his thing...if you want to go ham on him on anything then focus on his assists output or his team +- efficiency when he is on or off the court or how many 3pts attempts they make with or without him on the court..Also, remember when I said if we try to mention his scoring, you people will always remind us he’s a pass first guy? Trae Young led the league in both scoring and assists in 21/22. CP3 scored 20+ and was top 3 in assists as well in the past. Both pass first guys. Who says you can’t pass and score especially if your team needs it from you as well? I’m not saying go bonkers and drop 30+ every night. But he’s in the NBA finals, how many chances of that do you get? As I attributed to earlier, he’s long, can shoot from 3, has a floater, can finish at the rim so if for those six or seven games, if you can just give a bit more in terms of scoring to help your team win the chip, I believe you should and not hide behind ‘pass-first’. You won’t get the opportunity to stink the first 3 quarters and snatch the game with the last shot everytime, especially not against this OKC. And if you get triggered by the word ‘Halibum’, that’s on you to get familiar with banter names. Oh and yeah, i understand the criticism thing and I guess it's primarily cos we kinda do expect more from him considering he's a #1 option on an NBA team thats in the NBA FINALS!The angle of my whole argument stems from the superstar shouts and all the hype. When you claim to be one, you should be prepared to take all that comes with it. When my dear Ant Man turned to Cantman vs the OKC, I and virtually everyone accepted he met his match and couldn’t do anything so the onus is on him to get even better next season to overcome his conference finals hurdle. You can’t be a superstar when you hit game winning shots and be a pass-first guy when you gba. Long story short, to whom much is given… From the looks of things whether he plays or not tomorrow he won't be 100% fit so I guess it's fair to say no G7 even tho I think most neutrals would love that as well. Now, if he’s not fit enough play, he should not o. If he comes and stinks again, I no wan hear say he’s a pass first guy or e no dey fit. You can either go or not and when you go, you’re taking a spot on the team so you’re expected to perform. |

Kibbs:In the post game presser, Carlisle said TJ was fatigued that's why he didn't put him in the 4thQ (that could be a lie, who knows?). But Hali playing is Carlisle's fault cos the buck stops at him. Besides Carlisle is a championship coach, he should know better. This is all on Carlisle not Hali. Every individual is different, just because you see other pass first guards dropping 20ppg doesn't mean all pass first guards should do that regardless of whether the team badly needs their scoring, Hali still affects the points output of the team because of his assists, so yeah he ain't dropping 20 Points but at least his assists lead to 20 Points. He's not hiding bro this is just how he plays (regardless of his physical attributes) and that's what makes him unique in his own way. Let's just appreciate him for what he is not what he isn't. No bro am not triggered by the Halibum phrase. Lol he would probably play oh, even if na 50% and I don't think you will be surprised if he was even included in the starting lineup. Nice analytic response bro. 👍🏽 What's your fave team in btw? Mines the Rockets. |

OKC's defense has figured out the Pacers with their insane ability to switch everything even can Chet hold his own against Indy's guards out in the perimeter I think they close it out tonight. |

This Haliburton do not look injured to me. If we're keeping it a buck he probably hid under the injury lamba as an alibi for his utterly abysmal Game 5 Impressed by the Pacers this Game. Up 22 at the half. Looks like we're headed for a Game 7 |
