Extremely poor performance by McDavid. The Stanley Cup is the toughest title in American sport because you literally have to work hardest to win and the Oilers looked the same from last year. I don’t even know where they go from here with that roster.

Congratulations to the Panthers, I am not surprised because I called it from game one. They are built for the long run and may be back here next season. They have a lot to do and the most important will be tying Marchand to a long term contract as he becomes an UFA.
For me he just shrinks when it matters most. Even this series it was Draisaitl turning up in the really tight games.

That roster has reached its absolute peak. The Western conference is weaker but does McDavid stay is the question.

Going to 4 straight cups will be quite the feat. The only team in the West that can give them a run for their money but can't seem to get it together are the Avs. They stopped a 3peat in 22 by the Lightning and they IMO can do it again if they ever get their ish together

Isn't Marchand 37-38? Not sure giving him a long term would be smart

This Haliburton do not look injured to me. If we're keeping it a buck he probably hid under the injury lamba as an alibi for his utterly abysmal Game 5

Impressed by the Pacers this Game. Up 22 at the half. Looks like we're headed for a Game 7
Now who does the bolded remind me of? grin grin

It starts with a Le and ends with a Bron. Calf injury my *ss

I think he actually is. Watch his shots, they are mostly off screens and beyond the arc because he doesn’t want to stress that calf.

Carlisle is also not pushing the pace as they are playing more half court than we have ver seen since this playoffs started and that is because an uptempo will worsen the calf situation.

Finally, you will notice Carlisle plays another ball handler alongside Halli whenever he is on the court, that way he is not the only ball handler with the pressure of dribbling the ball to create or score. We have seen TJ drive more and play under the rim with Hali staying outside the arc.

He most definitely has that calf strain. Meanwhile, Siakam has been a DAWG! Man has made some clutch shots and helped the Pacers build this lead.

OKC are a truly abysmal 3pt shooting team. This is insane. They don't even take a lot and yet they are shocking at it

1/14.

If this happens Game 7. They are so finished

Do I believe he was in danger of missing the game? Absolutely not. I think they milked it or are milking it. Haliburton has moved well enough that I can doubt the seriousness. I don't doubt he's dinged up the severity is what I doubt

Not pushing the pace has actually been smart. Dare I say a masterstroke. Game 5 Haliburton and Nembhard tried to push quickly and it was turnover galore. Thus far only 2 turnovers the entire game.

You can't play proper playoff ball this many minutes if Haliburton calf strain was that serious. You just can't. Carlisle might have been playing possum

Good that you're catching on to the Siakam agenda. Don't let him win Finals MVP. We are going to have some uncomfortable conversations here grin
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:20am On Jun 20, 2025
1/16 from 3 for OKC. Even for my anti 3pt spamming agenda this is obscene

Dont know what you're seeing. As for me, i'm seeing him remain on the floor even with a blowout.

I'm seeing him moving side to side with ease. Did you see that clean and fast spin for the no look pass earlier to Siakam.

No excuses for him sha in game 7

What many expected to the be the conclusion of this series is turning out to be a blowout win for the pacers, haliburton bringing his A game today in contrast to the last has really energized his team

You have enough knowledge and experience in professional sports to know a strain isn’t keeping an athlete, especially an integral piece away from the finals of a major American sport competition. The leg has to be broken to keep any player out.

The Finals is all about narratives and if this is what can sell and hype the series, then the league will do it, it is that simple.

Carlisle knows the situation with Halliburton and that is the reason they have resorted to half-court, the first time we are seeing this as their primary means of attack.

Make una leave beef, I can entertain a debate that his superstar status is questionable but that shouldn’t blind us from admitting he is playing with a strained calf. At the end, it is what the fans of Indiana feel about it that matters most.

You are benching your best player in the 3rd Q against OKC because it is a blowout lead?

The Thunder only need to catch fire, make some 3s and it’s a ball game again. So, no, Carlisle understands he absolute has to keep his foot on their neck.

That was a sweet no look for the Siakam dunk.

It's even quite ironic that this is Indiana's best performance in these finals after switching to half court, I didn't even believe he was on the roster tonight till i confirmed few minutes to tip off, OKC need to be extremely careful in game 7, can't go bricking 3s at home
Re: The NBA Begins by Ridwan1821: 4:05am On Jun 20, 2025
The Indiana Pacers are staying alive.
I hope they can string a win out of the Game 7.

I actually got the Pacers winning game 7.
It's anybodys game but I trust their composure in high pressure situations....

Naah I think they milked it. It's OK to admit that.

Is it not the same Haliburton that was moving and gliding across court?

Real injury is Aaron Gordon that could barely move Game 7 vs the Thunder.

He was moving same speed. His shots and shot making are just not consistent except apparently in the clutch but anyone looking at his shots not falling or him being passive has not been watching Haliburton, "Halibooty" did not come out of thin air. Most people that carry him well know that he's very much hit and miss. He had many single digit games in the regular season too. That's who he is

I have no beef with Hali. Just calling it as I see it. The Pacers are still playing fairly quickly when they can. OKC are not as slow as the Knicks so going full retard on transition is not smart. Guys like SGA, J.Dub and Caruso with their active hands can turn it to steals real quickly. You saw Nembhard and Haliburton disasterclass in Game 5

The Rockets are not a bad option. They have a solid coach and good young core. He improves their overall play. They need to add another good scorer, a 3 & D preferably.

Yeah. Ime would get the best out of him. Plus they are a good defensive side, with Durants sharpshooting, they'd be a juggernaut.
I think they can bring Jabari smith back to the starting lineup with Brooks out....

Yesssuuurrrr Durant to HTOWN BAYBAY!!!

Its goin down!

A bit sad Brooks got traded tho'..

Birdman will come out and pretend like he isn’t happy KD is joining his Rockets.

Harden must end up in Houston eating his burgers and visiting all the strip clubs, one way or another.

They should've trade FVV instead of Jalen Green.

I’m not concerned one bit Jalen was traded or not. I don’t believe he’s gonna be THAT guy everyone’s hoping he’ll be. Apart from his athleticism, I don’t see one thing is he’s good, or elite at.

Also, if FVV was gone, who’s gonna be the PG

In the post game presser, Carlisle said TJ was fatigued that's why he didn't put him in the 4thQ (that could be a lie, who knows?). But Hali playing is Carlisle's fault cos the buck stops at him. Besides Carlisle is a championship coach, he should know better. This is all on Carlisle not Hali.

Every individual is different, just because you see other pass first guards dropping 20ppg doesn't mean all pass first guards should do that regardless of whether the team badly needs their scoring, Hali still affects the points output of the team because of his assists, so yeah he ain't dropping 20 Points but at least his assists lead to 20 Points. He's not hiding bro this is just how he plays (regardless of his physical attributes) and that's what makes him unique in his own way. Let's just appreciate him for what he is not what he isn't. No bro am not triggered by the Halibum phrase.

Lol he would probably play oh, even if na 50% and I don't think you will be surprised if he was even included in the starting lineup.

Nice analytic response bro. 👍🏽

What's your fave team in btw? Mines the Rockets.
Congrats, your team got KD, should be interesting as a fan.

As for my faves, I just follow my favorite players.. Ant and Book
