His (Madugu) major problem will be the Combination in Midfield.. who will he play, he likes Abiodun very much but will Ayinde back.

Is tough oo

I think a very fit Ayinde is one player in the Super Falcons Midfield that must start. Ucheibe plays better alongside Ayinde in Midfield and i hope he understands that too..
True. Ayinde’s presence gives Ucheibe the room to not just defend but to show her attacking qualities.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS:
Edna was recently called up to the Spainish 🇪🇸 national team. This ship has sailed, thanks to the screw up by Magudu and the Incompetent NFF.
They had a chance to have invited her for the recent friendly against France 🇫🇷 but refused. Real dumb decision!
Unlimited22:
BTW what happens to Edna Imade going forward?
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS:
You will need to see Chioma play against professionals BEFORE deciding IF she has the pace you say she has. College ball is quite different from Pro and National team ball!

Watched a few highlights of Ijamilusi and will revise my assessment from ‘poor’ to ‘below average’. Again, this is the WAFCON we are talking about, not some Naija league game. She will be up against the very best of the best in the continent and it’s a different ball game there ( no pun intended).

I really think you are underestimating the pace of Esther and Onumonu (who was a sprinter in school). Iffy has a slow startup speed but once she gets going, you ain’t catching her - see her goal against France 🇫🇷

I hope Oga Madugu use the 4-2-3-1 formation used by Randy in the past.., Because this formation plays two Central Defensive Midfielders, an attacking midfielder in between two fast wide forwards, and a Center forward. It's known for its defensive stability, midfield control, and ability to transition quickly between defense and attack..

And i think the kind of Midfielders we have favours this 4-2-3-1 formation a lot..
How do you see Ajibade in midfield? Especially now that we have good depth on both wings.

I heard Falcons will be playing Portugal in a friendly today by 7pm or is it 8pm? Afrosport and NFF tv should show the match

I wish there was one u17 in this team. Like Moshood or the goalkeeper, Ozioma.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 12:07pm On Jun 23, 2025
That might be too much pressure on someone like Moshood, considering the U17 WC is around the corner…

Bad ass, roll over move she pulled on the goalie to score that goal. Great goal!
Importantly, like her level of confidence leading up to the WAFCON.
Praying that ALL our SF ladies are healthy over the next 6 weeks 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.

u17 goalkeeper?🥹🥹🥹

We were clamoring for those from U20/ those playing abroad you’re bringing in U17 right now? What makes you think she’s a better choice than the likes of Omilana, Okeke, Akarekor etc??

This line-up na wa ooo. Onumonu should have started ahead of Ordega and Plumpter ahead of Oladipo. Even our substitute bench is lean. May we not get walloped today.

Arrival matters, They probably didn’t get to camp as earlier as thought.! Again Shukurat and co still need to be tested to see how they can serve as Back or even start..

The ladies playing RB and LB ain't good enough for first 11.

The midfield combo ain't balance too.

...the left back is particularly weak, and the Portuguese have realized that, hence pilling of pressure via the left.
