Hello. In 2024, after I finished my NYSC, and for like 6 months I couldn't get a job. While I was searching I found an online job (a publishing job) which has made me close to #10M. On this job there are days I make 200k, some 500, 1m or even more depending on how hard I work or how luck smiles on me. The issue now is that I got a 9-5 government job that pays around 150k. Tfare alone takes 40%. I'm a single man, 30, PWD. Tbh this money is too small. And talking of managing the two to three jobs ain't easy. It's taking a toll on my health. And too much focus on the govt job is causing a neglect/decline on my online job. I'm being pressured by my parent to go for this 9-5. They don't understand this online job. They think it's a scam. Imagine when will 80 k buy me my Lexus RX 350? When will I begin my own family? Apart from this publishing job, I've found two other online jobs I've started focusing on. I save well, I don't spend unnecessarily, and I invest well too. Please advice me what should I do. Should I leave the govt job and continue to lock in? Mods, kindly put it on frontpage. Thank you. |

muyico:You don't have to wait or depends on government in all what you do, The private sector runs the economy globally and people works there. E commerce has taken over businesses around the world because of it's conveniences,so someone can work online and retire great As you are working, you plan for your retirement by investing your money |

muyico:The same assurance where a retired police man for example was complaining about 2million after 35yrs of service? If you plan your current earnings well, you can actually retire after 8yrs. |

It sounds like you're torn between the stability of a government job and the potential for higher earnings and flexibility with your online jobs. Here are some thoughts to consider: Pros of keeping the government job: - Stability and security - Potential benefits, such as health insurance or pension plans - Parental approval and peace of mind Cons of keeping the government job: - Lower pay, which may not support your financial goals - Time-consuming commute and potential impact on your online jobs - Stress and burnout from managing multiple jobs Pros of focusing on online jobs: - Potential for higher earnings and financial growth - Flexibility to work on your own terms - Opportunity to build multiple income streams Cons of focusing on online jobs: - Uncertainty and potential for income fluctuations - Parental concerns and potential disapproval - Requires discipline and time management Consider your priorities: 1. Financial goals: Are you willing to sacrifice stability for potential higher earnings? 2. Health and well-being: How important is managing stress and maintaining a work-life balance? 3. Family dynamics: Can you find a way to communicate your goals and plans to your parents? You might ask yourself: 1. Can you negotiate a better salary or benefits in the government job? 2. How can you optimize your online jobs to maximize earnings and minimize stress? 3. Is there a compromise, such as reducing hours or transitioning out of the government job gradually? Ultimately, the decision depends on your personal priorities, financial goals, and risk tolerance. You may want to consider seeking advice from a financial advisor or career coach to help you make an informed decision. What are your thoughts on potentially transitioning out of the government job or finding a balance between both? Confiture: |

This looks like a roundabout way to advertise yourself cause I don't understand why you cannot convince your parents to let you be if you're really making such huge amounts from your publishing job |

franugo:A man at the age of thirty wants to leave a job that has earned him over 10milli in less than 16 month for a 150k job… It’s either the money mill is not clean or man is looking to advertise his publishing job … |

There's no publishing job anywhere. the guy wants people to ask him where's the job so he can job them lol. Someone who make a living publishing will not write like the op wrote. Think block of text without space pleeeeese. Some of us can spot lies even before it lands. Op enjoy your 10million oo |
