larride:Niang (Hawks) and a 2nd round pick. The Hawks send T. Mann and their 2nd round pick to Brooklyn. This is essentially a salary dump for us. The Hawks get a good big they can pair with Trae. |

The last 4 teams in the conference finals, the last 2 teams in the finals and the eventual champions has signaled a new path to success for the league. Teams are now more willing to jettison big name stars to rebuild. Teams that feel close to success will likely look for a marquee pickup to complement team, but will not risk roster completeness and a deep bench to do so. This is like the opposite of 2 or 3 seasons where teams would wreck the roster just to get a big 3 scoring trio. Good times for interesting basketball. |

Roland17:I don't usually understand how these three team trade usually work. What is Brooklyn giving up for T-Mann in this equation? Or was the Porz trade to Brooklyn? |

What are Blazers and Nets even doing? Almost like they are farmer teams or something. How can you trade Anfernee Simons for Jrue? Our Naija guy Ujiri out as Raptors GM. Don't know what they're doing. Hardly his fault that marquee FA don't want to come to Toronto. Kawhi homesickness likely cost him rings. Don't understand grown men that pine for their home state. You will have plenty of time to go there when you retire. Shoulda stayed in the weaker East |

birdman:I love how T mac recently misyarn about Kobe and he's been ethered by NBA fans. The same way we have recency bias , we also have nostalgia bias. Some of our childhood idols are not as great as we imagined to be in our heads. Imagine, comparing a player who couldn't win one playoff series in his career to another who at 26yrs has led his teams to two conferences finals, one NBA final and several playoffs series win. |

That T-Mac cap was too funny. Does he think everyone that watched him play is dead or what? This dude was even worse than Harden. Coming up pre social media really helped his life Cos he and Vince his cousin are two guys who should not be in the HOF tbvh |

etidy:Tmac has his faults, the teams and game play are different now, etc. But facts remain facts. Luka, the way he play now, would not get anywhere in the 2000s era. You had to play both ends of the court back then, it was not a suggestion. Which player then will see how Kobe, KG etc are playing and you will now insist on only scoring. Which is why they lost to Celtics, who didnt have to dig deep to win, just killed them with the 3-ball |

Whoever is the Bucks GM needs to be fired. That's some nasty work. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 5:33pm On Jul 01, 2025 |
Waiving Dame Lillard is crazy work. They did all of that to sign Myles Turner? I was high on him before but he was so rubbish in that Finals. For a big man to be so bad at rebounding is unbelievable |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 5:38pm On Jul 01, 2025 |
And finally the Nuggets trade MAGA Mike. I had high hopes on Michael Porter Jr but I don't know if it's his family issues but his regression with that contract is simply untenable. He only played at a solid level vs the Lakers in the playoffs Even the final they won inspite of him not cos of him, he just had to go. Too one dimensional and too much of a liability on defense. Cam Johnson is similar, only slightly older but can defend and at least put the ball on the floor. Not a catch and shoot merchant Valanciunas and Bruce Brown also back with the Nuggets. Thank God that terrorist Calvin Booth was fired and not allowed to waste the rest of Jokic's prime |

The Bucks have waived D. Lillard as Miles Turner gets paid big time with the Bucks. I said it from the go that Lillard to the Bucks was a terrible trade that made them worse. Hopefully, Giannis and his band of dancing clowns escorted him to the airport. |

A40:Good piece of business by the Nuggets except Tim Hardaway Jr. That guy can frustrate ehn. I hope they don't sign back Russ Valanciunas will finally allow Jokic to get deserved rest during games. Finally a decent back up. But what was Kings thinking? Saric for Val? ![]() |
