Dear men of Nairaland,

Your brother once said this......

Good women exist, you're just not the man you think you are. Humble yourself!

Doesnt even make any sense, really.

What's the correlation between the existence of good women , humility and the "man you think you are".

Not every quote is meaningful.

Always go after the one that loves you and not the one you love
Re: Dear Men Of Nairaland, Your Brother Once Said... by Starz825(m):
I will always support men... mostly for their understanding quotient... which they generally have over the opposite gender

But My own be say ..

Wats your definition of a good woman?

I hope your definition is not- a woman that will suffer with you...

Because you must give a woman a reason to be with you and take your surname...they are humans too...they have the right to choose who they want to spend the rest of their lives with...

In essence, men should build up themselves roundabout....let's stop fooling ourselves...

Good women also want a man that has resources they can both pull together and make a living with....not a lazy bone... who's not doing his best

You don't have what to eat....but you are looking for a wife...

You dey whine...wetin you wan give that woman Nd your child...

Age/time shouldn't be a factor that determines When to get married.

Your growth and development spiritually, financially, morally, emotionally and mentally... should be the main determinant...it will also help find a partner who shares similar life style and perspective

No be ... I'm old ...make I go find woman..
.wetin your pikin go chop....

If you are doing your best for a woman and she leaves...it's a different thing...that one lacks contentment...but you no get any achievement yet and you dey follow other hardworking men yarn rubbish about women... it's totally wrong...

Men should build up themselves...

You need that development than you ever need a woman.....

Thanks

My brother once said;

Finding a good partner among the current crop of women girls we have in the dating pool in Nigeria is like finding water in Sahara Desert, finding snow in Kebbi state, or finding a God-fearing Yahoo boy

A hard pill to swallow, but absolute truth.
Good women exist but sometimes, the real issue is that we haven’t become the kind of men they can respect or build with. It takes humility, emotional growth, and consistency to truly attract and keep a good woman.
I met my wife right here on Nairaland, and it’s been 6 years of bliss. So yes, they exist but you have to check yourself too. Sometimes, it's not them... it's you.

Re: Dear Men Of Nairaland, Your Brother Once Said... by wunmi590(m):
huh

Truly good women exist, it take an herculean task to get the better one..

At least I've married one out of the 1% that are good, the unmarried men should go and share the remaining from the 1% left😆 🤣
Re: Dear Men Of Nairaland, Your Brother Once Said... by Onucs(m): 12:32pm On Jun 26, 2025
Good men exist

But however, I have come to realize that most ladies even prefer the bad guys.
Re: Dear Men Of Nairaland, Your Brother Once Said... by njokuuche77(m): 12:32pm On Jun 26, 2025
Funny how some men scream “no good women out there” like they’ve checked everywhere, including their own character.

Truth is, good women exist but many times, we haven’t done the inner work to be deserving of them.

I say this confidently because I met my wife right here on Nairaland and it’s been 6 amazing, love-filled years. So yes, they’re out there. But sometimes, the one that needs fixing isn’t the woman... it’s the mirror.

Dear men of Nairaland,

Your brother once said this......
"We all have wrong notions of the women folks just as much as we have so many unanswered questions about them.

In my extensive sojourn and experience with ladies of all categories. I have come to the various conclusions.

-That every girl has a price; the ones we see as decent because they dont give in to just anybody are actually gold diggers saving their kitty for a man with heavier coins.

-That most girls get married now not out of love but out of desperation and more girls are being shagged through the promise of marriage.

-That every girl yearns for a husband.
(It's so bad that on your first date with her, she's already imagining her name with your surname.)

-That Nigerian women will date even Lucifer as long as he is overseas.

-That the average woman considers a man as very caring if he can call her at least thrice daily, ask her if she has eaten, sends her airtime or takes her to a fastfood.

-That more women are becoming promiscuous; most of them not because they want to, but because they want to get back at a philandering spouse. Then the rest, simply because 'kpekus no get meter'

-That women are prisoners in the bondage of clichés. If one woman does it, the rest copy. If one woman refuses to do it; the rest vilify her.

-That the life of a woman is a cycle of ironies.
Men exhaust their lives trying to please women whom they consider as fragile.
Women exhaust their lives trying to stand up to men that they are not fragile.

Despite this all,
I still think being a woman is a master key to life in itself.
My name is Nwaamaikpe.

I am uninhibited,
I am an intellectual nonconformist.
I am not heartless, I am only devoid of unneccesary emotions. I think it as it should be thought and say it like it should be said."

Nwaamaikpe only legends know him
