Shettima is not going to be on sideline if he is dropped, he is going to work against Tinubu in full capacity. Same way Shaibu worked against Obaseki. I believe the president must have weighed these options before deciding to drop him as VP.

The difference was that Abacha was military while Abiola was not...so that was a mismatch.

You failed to tell us those Northern Govs that are going to join El Rufai coalition.

You talk about El-Rufai as though he is major political strategist in the North.
I may be disappointed with Tinubu's performance so far and I also believe he doesn't deserve a 2nd term, but it's not going to be the decision of El-Rufai. First, he doesn't have the influence, he is only over estimating himself. 2ndly, El-Rufai is fighting a personal fight with Tinubu and trying to drag Nigerians along with him to fight Tinubu. He was part of the team initially and only became bitter after he was left out. That's not enough reason to start a coalition against the President, that's just bad blood! If he wasn't left out, he would still be with them defending the President with all his life like the President's boys are currently doing.
I was also a supporter of Tinubu, I believed in him, campaigned and voted for him but I am very very disappointed at the moment because I see deceit, self-aggrandisement, nonchalance in him. I see him as been very untactful in collapsing all the reform policies at once without assessing the impact on Nigerians and the economy.
He is grabbing more money from Nigerians and putting it in the hands of greedy and ineffectual Politicians.
