They always bend rules to favor some people while others are forced to obey the rules.

He was a respected elder statesman and mentored other greats....but I had thought in Islam,the dead are buried before 4pm,the man I learnt died in Dubai and his wish was to be buried in medinah Saudi Arabia,his body was kept while they waited for permission from Saudi authorities.The body was then flown to Saudi for proper burial.
So in Islam,they rich have their ways.

I believe they wanted to fulfill his wish,he is human first before any religion.
He wished to be buried there and it was fulfilled, religion comes second.

We learnt mike Egeagha wished to be buried immediately after his death,his children fulfiled his wishes even though they would have loved to make it a big celebration.
His wish came first before any other thing.

Proximity to the earth center ? How? By longitude or by latitude ? I don't think it is, because of that. Medinah has a religious significance in Islam just like Varanasi to the Hindus.

That shouldn't be of concern to you. It's a personal decision. And moreover, he is a businessman and philanthropist, you can't compare him to a political office holder, he belong to a lineage where money was made through hardwork and resilience. One can be buried anywhere it makes no difference.

I see many spurious and bigoted comments here. First of all, the deceased died outside Nigeria and he had a wish to be buried in a particular. It wasn't compulsory but the family wanted to fulfill his wish which the Saudi officials granted. His case is an exception. He's not the first muslim billionaire or reknown Nigerian to die. Did you ever see them taken outside the country to be buried? Yaradua and Abacha died and both were buried in Nigeria. Several billionaires of the Dantata dynasty died and were interred in Nigeria. A prominent Lebanese Kano billionaire died in Lebanon but he earlier willed that he should be buried in Kano and so it happened. So what's all this fuss about?

What is the problem with burying him Nigeria? Why should the federal government send a delegation to man's burial who obviously shunned his own country even in death!

What about those that have Jesus and don't have a good heart towards others, Love of God and Love of our neighbors is what God preaches, by so doing you are closer to God than anybody that is claiming to be christian but the heart is full of wickedness and also put a pastor as his god, you have always been preaching against other religious organization or attack those who are not in your religion line like the Catholic and you think you have a straight ticket to heaven? Imagine the billions expended in burying the man.

Not true. A dead body can be delayed from burial for certain reasons.

Burial should be done within 3 days but most people just prefer to do so in 24hrs. There’s no law that says it must be 24hrs.

In fact Islam allows the corpse to be examined if you suspect foul play in the death which can help in criminal investigations or for the general public.

E.g if someone dies from an unknown ailment, it is permissible to examine the corpse to learn more about the ailment and how it can help prevent or control the ailment amongst the community.

Allah is the greatest, may his soul keep resting in peace.
