55m for Elanga but Aston Villa no fit pay 40m for Rashford.

What a waste.
Trashford refused to take a wage cut and Villa pulled out. Where would Aston Villa see £300k/week to pay Trashford? Malacia deal also didn't go through because of wage issue, same with Scamcho and probably with Antony too. United have done all they can to get rid of those useless players even significantly reducing their selling fee, but the players greed for money over football is what stalling their move away...

I'm starting to doubt all these talks of wage cut.

Don't know why but I doubt it. Our board is just too incompetent to do anything.

Barca just got played by Nico. Rashford will be smiling right now. Hopefully we don't settle for another loan if Barca comes calling.

Rashford was never staying at villa so nothing to do with wages. Both Antony and Sancho have both agreed to take wage cuts to move away.

At this rate, na to just dey check the full-time scores like I did last season. My kids are too young to lose me over a club that will only get serious when it's sold to serious owners. Nigerian politicians are angels compared to the owners we have in this club.

Only people winning here are the Glazers... they always win.
No one is winning. We need to get our acts together and dig ourselves out of the hole we are in. It’s not about spending heavily again, we need to see if Amorim can do anything worthy next season before committing lots of resources. Plus we need certainty of revenues before going on a spending spree, and hopefully that comes via Europe qualification by hook or crook.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 1:24pm On Jul 04, 2025
Even if you don't have the money for big players, can't you put pressure on the scouts to source gems in places where you won't spend more?

You had all the time to plan the window but decided not to. Why will your transfer policy be based on whether you qualify for Europe or not.

A shame.

That's why I said they need to make example of just one player. Deal with the player seriously that others won't even imagine to try it again.

Don’t mind them. If we sign more than 2 players this window without selling some players, na miracle. We all talked about the repercussions of not qualifying for UCL via Europa league. Simple as ABC, revenue will dip significantly next season. It’s a mess that needs to be fixed by finishing decently in the league next season and hopefully qualify for Europa so we can start talking about spending heavily again.

The crazy transfer expectations is just beyond me. I hope our fans will start getting realistic and thoughtful with these things.
LooL. This is delusional.

Your peers finished above you for two consecutive seasons. They are also reinforcing their squads in this window. But you expect to finish above them without replenishing your own squad 😀🤣

Please give me what you are smoking.

You don’t commit resources to a manager, you commit resources to your club.

Aguero, kDB, David Silva were already at City before Pep came along.

Chelsea bought Cole Palmer before they signed their current manager.

The Slot that won the league last season with Liverpool did so with a squad built by the previous manager.

It’s not just about getting a manager his players. That’s the mistake we’ve been making. It’s about getting really good players into the team.

Recruit genuinely good players and give them a good working environment and they’ll thrive irrespective of who the coach is.

What we have now is a mix of good and terrible players in a toxic work environment. You can never win with that combination.

Rashford to Barcelona on loan deadline day.

Sancho stays Nd is forced to train with the academy

Garnacho ends up on loan at Newcastle

Malacia rots with the reserve

And rasmus continues as our only known striker..

It's just written in the stars. Typical manutd

Elanga sef was also a deadwood at United, but Newcastle dey offer £50m to sign him from Nottingham Forest.
Many of the players we (me included) called deadwood are doing well away from United, leave one to wonder what is really wrong at the club...

Because many people here are very biased and do player FC. You heap pressure and insults on teenage players that should not be under such scrutiny, and you shield your favorite players.

A couple of years ago it was Elanga. This time it is Garnacho.
