Because many people here are very biased and do player FC. You heap pressure and insults on teenage players that should not be under such scrutiny, and you shield your favorite players.

A couple of years ago it was Elanga. This time it is Garnacho.
I still think Garnacho should've gone one a couple of loan spells to further develop. Thrusting him into the fray and his subsequent main character syndrome and indeed our overexpectation has led us here. However, Rashford and Sancho matter dey different and they have to go

Elanga sef was also a deadwood at United, but Newcastle dey offer £50m to sign him from Nottingham Forest.
Many of the players we (me included) called deadwood are doing well away from United, leave one to wonder what is really wrong at the club...
Maybe we can try buying other club's deadwood too to see if they can reinvent themselves here grin grin

Buying useless senior players is actually wrecking the development of our junior players by thrusting them into the limelight before they are ready.

If we talk now, people like Odizey will remind us that Lamine Yamal does not have 2 heads. grin

Fans are the number one culprit with the unnecessary pressure they put on players. Gone are the days of no social media when players don’t see anything else except what’s in the papers and on match days. These days, both players and fans are on social media. The level of toxicity thrown at our players is just insane, very few players will perform well after seeing the toxic comments.

Unfortunately, the media has realized this and is very happy to help débase our players just to feed and massage the egos of Utd fans. Funny thing is, there are several fans that are now in the media via vlogs and YouTubing. Those ones are interestingly followed religiously by a section for the fans.

Not saying owners and board have not contributed, but man, majority of our fans are just ridiculous.

You don’t commit resources to a manager, you commit resources to your club.

Aguero, kDB, David Silva were already at City before Pep came along.

Chelsea bought Cole Palmer before they signed their current manager.

The Slot that won the league last season with Liverpool did so with a squad built by the previous manager.

It’s not just about getting a manager his players. That’s the mistake we’ve been making. It’s about getting really good players into the team.

Recruit genuinely good players and give them a good working environment and they’ll thrive irrespective of who the coach is.

What we have now is a mix of good and terrible players in a toxic work environment. You can never win with that combination.
What makes you think that the manager will not have a major say in transfer decisions? And if we have a manager that is playing a certain system, he will always favour and push for players that fit his philosophy.

The club will buy nonsense players, when those ones begin play nonsense, they will now start mounting pressure on Youths to perform or else he's trash.

This club fanbase dey always funny me.

Elanga was a youth player who the club and fans expected more from, much more than his capacity could deliver. He needed that move to build himself up.

He was simply at the club at the wrong time.

Same goes for Hojlund, Garnacho, and a few other youth players whose careers United has destroyed.

I hope when the season starts you will remember the incompetence of the board and not heap all the blame on the manager?
Dude.

You quoted the wrong guy.

I am usually one of the last guys on this board to turn on a manager having a difficult time at United.

In most of the arguments I’ve had with you in the past, I’m often asking the board to recruit better before firing a coach when the team is underperforming.

This board should recruit better. Only then will I turn on the manager— if things remain the same.

There’s nothing wrong with a manager having a major say in a transfer decision. But it is also the job of the club to do due diligence and ensure that those players meet their own standards.

Cos when they sack the manager due to bad performance , the club will still have to deal with his rubbish signings.

Brighton sef dey make moves for market . But Trevor012 from Alagbado will tell us they are playing in the CWC or have qualified for Europe or blablabla and that’s why they can do that and we can’t.

Some people are just enemies of progress.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 1:12pm On Jul 06, 2025
FYI, we scored just 44 league goals pere last season. Only Everton and the relegated teams scored less. It’s so freaking obvious we need to revamp that forward line.

So, in addition to Mbeumo, we still need a good CF and at least one midfielder who can go straight into the starting lineup. Only then will the window be okay.

Let’s see what INEOS can do. If they get the players and Amoroso is not delivering, then he gats to go.

Lol. You have no idea what you are talking about. Meanwhile your next post after this kind of corroborate my point. What is applicable to the youth players is also to the experienced ones. Over 70% of those we signed and later released were doing well before we got them and at least 50% of them have gone on to perform well post UTD. The pressure is just too much. We are utd, we had Ronaldo, Scholes and Giggs, these set of players can’t presss, yen yen yen.

Other fan bases don’t do this shyte!

The pressure to win is there in every club. I dare say it's even worse in Madrid where they don't hesitate to boo the stars when they are on a poor run of form and to be honest, all top clubs have millions of fans who are rational and others who are irrational, so don't make it seem like a United thing.

Madrid fans that I watched boo Butragueno, Raul, Casillas, and CR7.

Imagine him comparing the pressure that senior players bought for millions of pounds are meant to face to that faced by academy players that have rarely played in stadiums.

You must be living in another planet if you think it's only United fans that demand and put pressure on their players.

Chelsea doesn't waste time to send their youth players on loan, they don't even waste time to bin who's not performing and buy other players.

But in this club, people like you will want the manager to play players that are not ready or dross because you want to defend your Oga.

One day, hand go touch you and your Oga.

One coach play 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3 Una complain

Another one play 3-4-3, Una complain say why he no change dey play 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3, the same formation that these same set of players were shite in.

Maybe Amorim should go and invent formation from heaven come before you'll accept your players are trash.

Even though Amorim sef get him own for body, but still I'll never agree that the formation is the problem.
