Should I Allow My Wife To Farm On This Particular Land? by Obavoh(op):
Since we moved to this town from the village, my wife has been complaining that she is tired of staying at home doing nothing.

I don’t have enough money to start up petty trading for her so we decided to look for a small farm where she can be growing vegetables to keep her hands busy and money in her purse.

Last week, we began looking for free land to use until we found one just about 45mins from our house. The compound was fenced round with a gate so we had to knock until a man came out to open the gate for us.

He introduced himself as the caretaker. He was naked except for a very tiny boxers that almost looked like women’s pants.

My wife and I greeted this man. I laughed and told him in our language that he should go and put on proper clothes as he is standing in front of a married woman.

This man refused. He said why should he be ashamed of what God has blessed him with. I did not want to argue with the man as he is far older than me. I just told my wife to stand outside while I went in to inspect the land.

We negotiated that he would collect ₦5,000 during each harvest which seems fair.

I told my wife I don’t like the caretaker, we would have to look for another land or wait till I get enough money for her to start trade and she has been squeezing her face.

I feel that for that man to disrespect me, a married man like that in front of my wife shows he is troublesome and we might end up fighting.

The man also looks roughs and he is a smoker from his appearance. I don’t want someone to pin my wife in the farm.

You were the one that disrespected him,by telling him to go and dress properly in your wife's present.

You were the one looking for something,so you have to be polite, you were rude to him

You can't know a man's character on first interactions.

In your deepest heart of hearts, you just don’t want your wife to work. You are afraid she might get attracted to other men and leave you.

Well, if you can’t raise money for her to start petty trading, which still won’t prevent men from patronizing and “toasting” her, just ask her to sit her ass down at home as usual.

And BTW, u were disrespectful to that man who u agreed is older than u, by asking him to go and put on clothes. How dare you! You come to someone’s property and start to order him on top free stuff? Them suppose refuse you any offer at all

Asking that man to go dress up was very polite, one if the best thing a young man as you are supposed to do, since he meant you unannounced, secondly my brother, obidient they say is better than sacrifice.

He will take more than 5,000
I don't joke with first impressions. God is telling you to look for another place. If you take that place, you might end up crying later.

A lot of people have nothing to lose. They exist to spread pain & sorrow on earth. if he molests your wife, you might not be able to do anything to him.

It’s better you go and find a farm you pay for far away from that caretaker but closer to your house for your wife. Just for her safety and your peace of mind except you will be going to the farm with her daily.

This is exactly how a nonsense woman thinks.
Just because he doesn't have that money right now then he should allow her DO HER THING even if it means allowing her get into a precarious position.
Money or no money, he still has the God given responsibility to evaluate and make decisions especially on things that concerns HIS WIFE.

Stay calm and look for another land since your mind is not at rest. Peace of mind is very important and underrated.
