Had some over ripe bananas and decided to make banana bread. Unfortunately, it wasn't as dense and has a cake texture. It taste the best banana cake/bread I have ever had.

Craving some shrimp etouffee. Will post recipe and finished pic later.

Peel and devein your shrimp.

Chopped celery, onion and green pepper into equal portions. If you're dealing with somebody who doesn't like vegetables in their food (my son), chop them really small. Or you can use a blender blend almost to paste. Also chop some garlic.

Put some ghee, oil, or butter in a pot or pan along with some flour over medium heat and continuously stir until it stops foaming and changes color to Brown.

As the chopped onion, bell pepper, celery, garlic and thyme, stir and let it all get soft. Add your creole seasoning, (if you don't have, look at the bottom of this post for how to mix your own), salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, onion powder (if you have) and paprika to taste.

Add in your shrimp, fish or chicken stock. It will look like it's clumping, but as you stir ,it will release and become smooth. Put a little stock at a time until you get the thickness you want. Add a few drops of Worcestershire sauce.

Reduce the heat to low, and let it simmer uncovered for 15 to 30 minutes. Occasionally check and stir so that it doesn't stick on the bottom. If you want, you can also add some chopped parsley, tomatoes and green onion.

Taste and make sure all the flavors are balanced, then add your shrimp just until it turns pink. Finish! chop am with rice.🙂

yeah etouffee is only made with onions, green pepper, celery and herbs. Any additional veggies would have to be made as a side.
