I once witnessed a similar scenario at a popular mall. The guy in charge of the shawarma section was telling a woman, “Ah, madam, you are so beautiful. I like your this and that...” Meanwhile, her husband was standing right behind us.

That’s cultural difference there. As the Nigerian man that I am, I would make a joke out of it and say something like “ of course she is and that’s because her husband is capable😉 or why won’t she glow having a man like me?
