I will be so happy if Mama Onome go into Coaching… She has a lot to share with the Younger ones.. A lot of the Younger Super Falcons players really did talked about her experience and how happy they’re to train and play alongside her..! But again she never did announced an official retirement from playing football, A player of her Class. You can’t just go off like that. Perpetua Nkwocha, Stella Mbachu, Precious Dede, Cynthia Uwak, Desire Oparanozie all honorably announced their retirement…!

Can Madugu please play Esther Okoronkwo, Chioma Okafor and Rinsola Babajide upfront. I want to check something |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 11:03am On Jul 08, 2025 |
solonnachi:To me not at this stage… If he wants to make any changes upfront since he’s not going to play Ajibade on the Right flank… Seat Payne out Considering she hasn’t been effective for the Super Falcons as a Winger. Babajide on the left Oshoala as no.9 Esther Okoronkwo on the Right.. |

For the quarter finals, I think Morocco would not really be a problem to us if we put our acts together on the day but for Zambia, I just thought of something now though it may sound ridiculous. Considering the Zambian game is built entirely on their forwards like Barbara and Kundinanji, if we pair Ucheibe and Ohale (then bench Demehin) at the heart of the defence and then Abiodun and Ayinde in defensive midfield, we would frustrate the Zambians big time if we happen to meet. This was what Randy did to frustrate South Africa at the Olympic qualifiers. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 12:43pm On Jul 08, 2025 |
GeneralDae:If Demehin was available in that game she wouldn’t have been on the bench… Ayinde, Ucheibe and Abiodun covers a lot of ground defensively.. Ayinde will always start as she’s the most Calm and experienced among the trio, so is left for Madugu to pair her with Ucheibe or Abiodun.. I think I will pick and Ayinde and Ucheibe pair because the Chemistry btw them look better and Abiodun to come in once any of them look worked up.... But again I think we need a really Strong and Combative Center Back with a good physique that can battle Demehin for in that spot because she seems to be relaxed, like no one is there to bench her for now.. One of the reason I miss Chidinma Okeke another very Strong and aggressive player who recently had a foot surgery.. If she was available at least in those Physical game we would be very secured to have her come in..! |

GeneralDae:But don’t be worried, Nigeria thrives in such games especially Players like Ayinde, Ucheibe, Abiodun, Ohale, Ajibade, Oshoala etc but I’m a bit worried for Alozie, Plumptre, Payne even though the physical side of their game have really improved.. |

I don’t think this present Zambia was a Strong as the Equatorial Guinea 🇬🇶 of then that had Salimata Simpore no.8 (Striker), Biliguisa Simpore no.5 (Center Back), Blessing Diala 🇳🇬 no.7(Winger), Chinasa Okoro 🇳🇬 no.15 (Midfielder) and the almighty Genoveva Anonman no.10( Striker) .. This ones i mentioned were the one troubling us and i know them very well. One thing i know for sure is that those players always find it difficult to score against us, Infact they don’t even score, if they were to get a goal another player entirely scores for them because they’re well marked out. Nigeria do play well against those physical sides, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon where very much physical in the past and we still got around them. And I must say I don’t think Zambia is as Physical as the E/Guinea of the past..

Yes they have Barbra Banda, Rachael Kundananji, Kabange Mupopo, Prisca Chilufya, Fridah Mukoma, Ireen Lungu and Rachael Nachula that are with the questionable physical characteristics of a man but shouldn’t cause scare as they will be easier to beat than Morocco 🇲🇦 You saw the way Barbra Banda breezed past those Moroccan defenders, are you sure she can’t get past Ayinde, Ucheibe, Ohale, Demehin or Abiodun easily?? We have very the best Goalkeeper, a Solid Defense and combative Midfielders which any teams in this WAFCON don’t have which gives us an edge first.. Our problem is getting it right upfront with the forwards. |

Jojodjo:Players with numbers 13, 14, 18 and 21 do not have any business in Falcons. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Idiko1: 1:13pm On Jul 08, 2025 |
COOL10:One of the few figures in the Falcons of NIgeria with football acumen. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Idiko1: 1:15pm On Jul 08, 2025 |
COOL10:I guess Plumptre and Ohale maybe Alozie are the good players in the match. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 1:16pm On Jul 08, 2025 |
Idiko1:Deborah Abiodun is no.13 Blessing Demehin is no.14 Halimatu Ayinde is no. 18 Miracle Usani is no.21 incase you don’t know them😂🙄 |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 1:18pm On Jul 08, 2025 |
Idiko1:Let’s give them the Benefit of Doubt for now as in recent times the Falcons don’t start too well and get better as the tournament progresses.. |

lovewins:Number 13 player of current SF is a total waste of position. She does not have any football flair. A complete "jambody" in a colloquial term. She is not better than the aforementioned players in age grade competition. I guess Nigerian meritorious mechanics got her into SF. |

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Idiko1: 1:40pm On Jul 08, 2025 |
Samueltemi337:Yes, Alozie based on NIgerian useless style of play. Babajie was good but mentioned in the post. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Idiko1: 1:46pm On Jul 08, 2025 |
Samueltemi337:I have watched most of the games played by Falcons. Player in #13 has been a complete accident both in SF, age grade competition and Pitts. The player in 18 has source Nigerian anguish. She continuously passed the ball to her opponents, trapped the ball for her opponents and committed silly infringements. As for 14, she is a mayhem and will destroy the happiness of most Nigerian football fans. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Idiko1: 1:53pm On Jul 08, 2025 |
Deltamani:I do not need to know what the hell are their names. They are totally useless to the quest of SF. Number 14 will destroy the fantasies of most Nigerian football fans by the time this tournament ends. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Idiko1: 2:01pm On Jul 08, 2025 |
mostob:No, especially among Nigerians whose style of football is UFC standard. Nigerian SF lacked touch and flair. Plumptre and Ohale are exceptions. |

GeneralDae:Rinsola and Chioma will be key vs Morocco IMO. But we need a controller for that very encounter when it comes. The players wey go vex me that day na those misplaced passes ones. The last encounter, both sides were unlucky in finishing. That will be different this time, plus we should be wary of any favouritism. A rewatch of that encounter should b3 enough on how to approach them. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by semid4lyfe(mod): 3:03pm On Jul 08, 2025 |
Demehin is a disaster waiting to happen. She's panicky, misplaces passes and miskicks the ball a lot. I wish the coach can draft Plumptre to pair Ohale in the central defence, and have another defender play from the left back position. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by GeneralDae: 4:12pm On Jul 08, 2025 |
semid4lyfe:I wonder why either of Chioma Okeke or Nicole Payne was not invited. That way we can pair Ohale and Plumptre but hey. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 4:38pm On Jul 08, 2025 |
semid4lyfe:The only player better than Tosin is Christy Ucheibe. We have gone through this already. Tosin is better than Plumptre, let's stop this propaganda. |

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by semid4lyfe(mod): 4:58pm On Jul 08, 2025 |
BascoVanVeli:Not propaganda bro. I genuinely think Demehin is error prone and not good enough to be starting for us. I also believe Plumptre is more technical and an overall better central defender than her. Uchebe can play central defence too but there's a little snag in her game which is slowness in pushing out of defence, and a lack of offside trap awareness. My opinion is shaped by watching the players over the years, and my desire for the team to do well. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 5:38pm On Jul 08, 2025 |
Its not only laughable, but pathetic to read some of the disparaging remarks made about some of our Super Falcons. Two of the ladies in particular, namely Tosin Demehin and Debbie Abiodun have been targeted for absolutely no reason. Over the years, both have proven themselves to be invaluable members of this team, having progressed from the U20 team. I had the honor and priviledge to watch Tosin's debut against Jamaica here in Houston and knew within a few mins of watching her play that she would become a really good centerback. She has yet to prove me wrong. Debbie Abiodun made some tackling errors which will be corrected. There is a reason why she is called 'Kante'. She WILL end up being one of the very best CMs to don the SF green and white. By the way, both ladies are in their early 20s, Debbie being 21 and Tosin being 23. They still have several more years to craft their trade. So, to all the so called experts here...which player on the team has not made mistakes? Rash? Plumptre? Ohale? I mean, give me a break. This was game 1 of potentially 6 games to be played. Should this not be the time to make mistakes and work on them before the knockout rounds? Is the team not supposed to save the best for last, meaning get better and stronger as we march to game 6, hopefully? Y'all need to take a chill pill and quit spewing unnecessary hate. Let the ladies breath, please! |

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 7:33pm On Jul 08, 2025 |
semid4lyfe:Plumptre is better at left back. She has been played at CB multiple times and it didn't work out. Tosin has had way more good games than she has had bad. The only thing I can fault her for so far in this tournament was that yellow card. As for Ucheibe, every single time she has played as a CB she has looked great. Where was any of that stuff when she shut down South Africa home and away to get us in the Olympics? |
