This stale yarn again. So fans should clap for him if result are terrible next season, because he is doing us a favour by working for free? Oya name one fan here that said the club should not sign players?
Not qualifying for CL or Europa League next season would most likely affect our transfer targets, so the big players fans are expecting may not come (e.g Viktor Gyokeres who chose Assnal over his former Manager because of CL). The transfer window has been disappointing so far but if the Manager is not worried ( at least he hasn't shown any sign), why should fans be worried?
We are up against very tough competition. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Newcastle are strengthening their team not with squad players but top first-choice players.

We all know we don't have UCL football to offer, but they are cheap alternatives elsewhere, outstanding players looking for opportunities to show their talents in a club like ours, and they don't cost much. One would expect a club like Manchester United to have a vast scouting network, which should come in handy now, but it's not the case. Must we sign players from the top leagues? We should be closing bargain deals like we did with Evra and Vidic.

The manager coming out to protest will most likely see him lose his job, so I think it is left for the fans to register their displeasure with the lack of activity during the window. I expect that fans should not buy season tickets in protest. It is only when the finances of the owners are at stake that they swing into action. Fans are the key at this point.

See puring of emotion ooh, e say enemy of progress 😁. Ogbeni Amorim is not working for free, he will be criticised if results are bad. Manager hasn't complained about lack of signings, you are here crying. Any sensible person know that lack of CL football may also affecting our transfer activity, sebi some of you here where against signing Delap and Mbeumo? If Amorim doesn't complain, i won't complain too...
Ok. Let posterity show that I tried.

Nobody is saying the board should not sign players, you guys should stop repeating the false narrative. I said here days back that the board should be signing other necessary players while waiting to complete the Mbeumo deal, plus we know that clubs are trying to reap the Club by asking for crazy transfer fee (see Mbeumo situation). It is fans like Ley.qute that will still insult the board for paying crazy fee for players who end up flopping, like he did for Antony crazy fee. Amorim and the scouting team should look towards Portuguese League for very good tactical players, who are not too expensive and are interested in joining without CL football.
Not qualifying for CL may affect the choice of players we get, even small Delap (some said they did want) rejected us for Chelshit because of CL. No United fan is happy with the state of transfer activity (except maybe nitrogen 😁), but until i see a sign that the Manager is also concerned, i will take it that he is happy with his squad of players..

If Amorim goes into the new season without significantly improving the team and the results don't favor him, he is solely responsible. He could have walked knowing he can't perform magic

The coach can only identify players working with the scouting term, he is not in charge of negotiations. The board are the ones failing here. We should look elsewhere, Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, South America and even Africa. See PSG for example, how much did they use to assemble their super team? I bet we have spent more and that's because we keep looking at established names. Pacho was signed from Eintracht Frankfurt for a modest fee, Mendes from Sporting, Ruiz from Napoli, Vitinha from Porto, Marquinhos from Roma, Barcola from Lyon and so on...We should leave England and look elsewhere.

Let's assume he walks away and a new coach comes in, will he use his money to sign players? Or the new coach resigns and the cycle continues.

If fans here hated getting Delap for just 30million and Mbuemo who are well known and well watched, how do you think they will react to buying unknown players from those leagues. I can even see you added Africa lol. Please let's be realistic when dropping opinions. PSG have spent nearly 900million over the last 3 seasons.

PSG first thought it was about buying star players and paying over the odds wages but not anymore, now they go after players who fit are technically gifted and are committed to their project. PSG has seen the light, they now spend wisely. We don't need players that cost over 80m to be competitive.

Liverpool just signed Kerkez for 40m...
We have offered more to sign Mbeumo than Joao Pedro cost Chelsea...
Arsenal signed Zubimendi for less than we paid for Casemiro...
How much did Frimpong cost Liverpool?
Cherki?

There's value in the market as long as you're not after established names.

Exactly, United can get good players from those region for cheap too. Question is will some fans be happy with the move, seeing how they were opposed to Delap and Mbeumo signing?
Reality is not playing CL will limit our transfer options..

It was on this same thread some fans were against us signing Cherki, Delap, Mbuemo etc. Well known and well watched players. They were perceived as not good enough us to take us the next level so now imagine the reaction if we start buying Unknown players from South America, Africa, Germany etc

I don't know why you keep using PSG. They have spent nearly 900million over the last 3 seasons and still pay big bucks for players. Kvara was 70million, Kolo muani was 95, 19yrs old doue was 50, 20yrs old Neves was 60, Ramos 65m, Dembele 50 and even Barcola 45m etc. Those are huge amounts for unproven players.

No he won't.

But we need to unanimously agree that we need better players and we must spend money. Maybe when we change coaches 3 more times in the next 1-3 years, we will stop seeing some nonsense talk on this board and elsewhere, and we can all agree that there is no other way.

See me see wahala o.

Your club, in their usual manner, dragged their feet early on in the transfer window and decided to pay an unrealistic price for a player worth way below their evaluation when time started running out. How is that my fault?

If United decide to pay 120m for Mbeumo on transfer deadline day now, even though they could’ve gotten him for cheaper, you’ll still mention me.

See mediocrity in high places. LooL.

False, we are not in any tough competition with those clubs you mentioned. None of them finished anywhere close to relegation zone. Our competition is the likes of Wolves, Everton, Crystal Palace etc.

How come PSG suddenly started buying supposedly ‘average’ players and turned them to a functioning team, after the new manager joined?

Btw, we wanted to sell Bruno, Onana etc to raise money but Amorim said they are key to his team, also, I am sure Amorim has already indicated the type of players he needs, maybe they are not average players that would be easy to buy as there is no CL games next season and not enough money. You can’t just make conclusions because not a lot of Utd’s dealings is leaking to the press this time.

Do you believe Mbeumo is worth the fee Brentford is asking and is United attempt to find a fare value a wrong move?

No need sugarcoating the truth. We all know this squad badly needs upgrades and we don’t even have the funds to make that happen. Now add a manager who, let’s be honest, isn’t exactly world class and has shown little sign of maximizing what he already has…..that's a combination for disaster. We barely avoided relegation last season, let that sink in.

On this very thread, people were bragging about finishing above Wolves. Wolves undecided
This is the same team some folks believe our competition is the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man City? Lmaooooo, delulu dey wear some people jersey for here.

But let me be clear, Amorim must collect if he doesn't perform no matter what, no excuses grin

He is very good. Extremely talented kid. But his path to the first team is a bit unclear due to injuries and his lack of physical attributes. A serious club would’ve started giving him supplements a year ago.

Honestly, Na peeps for here dey present our manager for drags because I couldnt understand why anyone would even attempt to put forward such a "great achievement" in defence of Amorim's dreadful and shameful scorecard last season.

It just shows how low the club has sunk - defending a manager whose current PL record is in the same category with the Paul Jewells, Neil Warnocks and Daniel Farkes of this world eh!!!

Anyways, the new season is upon us - he can still atone for last season's atrocious underperformance by punching above his weight cool
